Just a Bit Wrong (Straight Guy Book 4)
Tristan duVal, is a professional soccer player for Chelsea FC in London, so is his adoptive brother Gabe. There is huge rivalry, distrust and lack of brother.y love between them.Gabe featured in Book 3 with his boyfriend Jared who is the Head of Physiotherapy for the Team.Tristan is the better player and the favourite of the the Chelsea fans. Unfortunately he has had the same groin injury 3 times over the past 6 months, a personal Physiotherapist has been called in to get him into shape for World Cup trials.Zachery Hardaway is a world class Physiotherapist in high demand, as a favour to his friend Jared he agrees to help Tristan recover.Zachery is getting married to Donna in three months time so he needs toComplete this job quickly.Tristan is a mess emotionally, he shows the world a nice guy personality but underneath is is a hurt broken child and lashes out at people close to him.Despite all that, I was rooting for Tristan all the way through this story. This is first “Jock” book set in UK Soccer that I’ve read, even through it didn’t focus much on the actual game as much as other sport setting MM books usually do, like American football, baseball, and ice hockey. There are a few complicated relationships here apart from Tristan and I hope they will feature in their own story in this series sometime. An excellent read, heartbreaking sometimes, and I loved the MC characters. Alessandra Hazard at her best again

I hate to love Tristan
Tristan is a uppity little prick, but the more I read the more I loved him (judging myself). It took a certain person to deal with him..enter Zach!Zach didn’t take his crap and saw past his horrible personality. Half of me spent half of the book wanting to throat punch Tristan and then the other deranged half of me wanted to hug him! They are an odd pair but they work!

5* Another unconventional and beautiful romance in this fantastic series!
I cannot express how much I’ve been anticipating this fourth book, I LOVE this series so much. And all I can say is WOW, this certainly did not disappoint.Tristan really is the brat of all brats huh? He basically started out as one spoiled, conceited and scathing a-hole (or does he end that way too?). But as we get to know him and understand him better, we get a glimpse of his rather tough upbringing, and find out that he was not only orphaned at aged 5yrs, but also faced complete rejection at said age to (which let’s face it, would be difficult for any adult to even deal with). Anyway, all these dreadful experiences leave such an imprint on his life, and have been pretty much the catalyst for his almost hateful behaviour towards others. He really does believe he’s unlovable. And I’ll admit to tearing up at his story. Enter Zach.Ah Zach, yeah he really did it for me. I adored that he just automatically knew how to put Tristan (or ‘the brat’) in his place. He never pandered to his every whim like everyone else around him did, fawning over his every word. Zach was such a strong and calming influence on Tristan, and really did bring out his sweeter side (yep, he really is kinda nice under that façade). And Tristan really did need a firm hand – and boy did he get it!! But in actual fact, they bring out the best in each other, as Zach was pretty much plodding along in his seemingly perfect life, with his fiancé, but alas, there was no passion in him, until he meets Tristan. The snarky, sexy banter between them from the off had me giggling like an idiot, it was just so hilarious. They really are polar opposites, which is exactly what ignites their passion for one another.Yes passion. It was a slow build full of sexual tension, especially with Zach trying desperately to fight his feelings, but to no avail! Oh yeah, these guys were blistering. It takes a while for them to actually get it on – but when they do, WOW! Let’s just say they come up with a genius way of dealing with Tristan’s bad behaviour, that leaves them both pretty satisfied. For me personally, this author is amazing at writing such sexy, masculine ‘tops’ that just command respect, without them being all ridiculously OTT alpha. But, as hot as this one was, the deep connection and bizarre kind of love that follows, is the thing that captured me most. It was painful to actually watch Tristan admit to having feelings for someone, and even more so for him to be on the receiving end of them. Again – I cried. Overall, this book was another total winner for me, and I just cannot wait for James (I won’t even go there!) and Ryan’s story next. A must read.

Intense, over-the-top and completely unrealistic
I really disliked Tristan in Gabriel and Jared book Just a Bit Unhealthy so when I heard the next book was going to be about him I was intrigued but hesitant. I mean the guy had been a manipulative arse to his brother throughout the previous book so I questioned whether he had any redeeming qualities. Luckily Alessandra Hazard did it again and made me fall in love with a flawed, selfish, manipulative character. This in part is because the reader is shown why Tristan is so manipulative, almost demanding the love and adoration of everyone around him. Yet as typical of this series Zach is perhaps the only person who can see past Tristan’s manipulation and still find him attractive and worthy of love. Now if you’re coming into this author blind their are few things you should know about this series. The characters are not always good people, they don’t always make the right decisions and the love between the two heroes nearly always borders on unhealthy.Tristan and Zach are no different. Firstly Zach is engaged, to a women, for the majority of the book with a wedding fast approaching. Secondly I felt the D/s elements present in the others book where more pronounced in Just A Bit Wrong. I know some people have asked is this book contains BDSM and in my opinion it doesn’t, but there are two scenes of semi-sexual spanking between the two heroes.Since discovering Alessandra Hazard a few years ago she has become an auto-buy author for me. I know that the relationships portrayed are unhealthy and that most of the books contain infidelity or inappropriate relationships. Yet I can’t read them fast enough (I may have re-read the whole series after finishing Just A Bit Wrong) for these books are pure crack. They’re intense, over-the-top and completely unrealistic but I love them.
