Easy read
I rather enjoyed this new-to-me author. It proved a relaxing and easy read and I think it has the potential of getting a lot more interesting once it gets on the way. Not a lot of magic, although there is a lot of promise in the mother who speaks to recently departed souls and Glinda's ability to detect the cause of death which I can imagine the author would probably want to develop as we go along. There is also the fact that although the whodunnit was not a total surprise, it is a bit like a reality check where this is probably how life happens. All in all, I think it is worth giving it a chance.

Discombobulated
I will say one thing for Glinda she is clean! I have never seen any character shower or bath quite so much!!! Her sleuthing skills are awful, the who dunnit was awful and the magic (apart from the pink iguana creatively named "Iggy") non existent, not even to decorate the restaurant. She only dresses in pink (even to a funeral...granted a "dark plum" but it got old quick that she was wearing pink! I'm here for sleuthing and paranormal not pink converse and a squeaky clean heroine! Not great I'm afraid I won't be looking for the next one.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
