Would they fit a smaller woman about 110 pounds?** A: I wish they had different sizing for these... I'm 5'2", about 110lbs and they're too big for me. The knee and wrist pads were too big. The elbow fitted ok. I ended up getting another set of pads. **Q: Do these pads have material that goes all over your knee or just velcro straps (i.e. "back" of your knee is open). I just worry about slipping.** A: Completely covers front and back of knee. No slippage in all the times I've used it. They're very safe. Also are these "sleeve" type pads, or just velcro?** A: The knee pads are 9" in length and the elbow pads are 6". They are sleeve and Velcro. The hand/wrist pads wrap full around wrist with material and have Velcro which wraps over that. There is no Velcro which would come in contact with skin. Nicer than I thought they would be. Definitely recommend. *by J***. on January 26, 2020* Bought these adult-sized pads and a helmet to learn skateboarding (over 40, but better late than never) with my kids. Both the elbow and knee pads come with velcro straps on the top and bottom, so you can attach them to yourself that way (not recommended, but works) , or you can slide them on and then use the straps for a more secure fit (which I did and recommend). I'm more on the skinnier side of a medium build, so it was a little surprising that sliding the knee pads on was a little tight (not blood restricting), so something to consider how thick your arms and legs are. The wrist pads for nicely with 3 Velcro straps. There is some decent cushion between the hard plastic shells of the pads and your knees/elbows that will definitely absorb an impact with the ground. The wrist pads saved my right wrist during my first big fall. Still learning to fall, I put my right hand down to catch myself, and the hard plastic piece of the wristpad took the impact, instead of my wrist.
