Masterclass on Global Marketing
With this book, Pease has created a masterclass guaranteed to take any company global. Each easy to read, entertaining chapter builds upon the one before it and by its close I had, without breaking a sweat or a pencil lead, mentally devised my own translation management strategy. Pease deftly lays out the case for exporting, providing actual sources of financial, technical, and legal support, all via a simple, straightforward approach that completely takes the fear out of the global business equation and replaces it with the anticipation of new sales from 3.5 billion non-English speakers. It was eye opening to see how much international business can be found right here in the States, too, and that a translation plan can roll out so quickly and cost effectively. I feel like she’s rooting for us, too, and her enthusiasm is contagious!

More people outside the US are searching for your services than in the US
I am so grateful to the author for writing this book. The book is well written and researched. I can only imagine the countless hours that were involved. There is a lot to unpack and many takeaways. For example, I was surprised to see Guyana listed as an up and coming market since I recently had a conversation with a friend who is from Guyana about the exact same thing. This book is very appropriate for this time, as we have been hearing for years that the world is shrinking because of technology. The language of Global Marketing gives us the tools to take advantage of just that. Some Key Takeaways:90 % of internet users when given a choice of language always visit a website in their own language.More people outside the US are searching for your services than in the US.If this book was any longer, I would call it The language of Global Marketing Bible; almost every chapter could be a separate book. It covers every aspect of digital marketing with the emphasis on appealing to a global audience and some real tangible action steps at the end of each chapter. I also appreciated the very apropo quotes at the beginning of each chapter. In conclusion this book is a great starting point for anyone interested in marketing to a global audience. I am looking forward to future works from the author.

Outstanding guide for multilingual businesses
The Language of Global Marketing is an excellent step-by-step guide for developing an international business that is backed by extensive data and research. Easy to read, the author weaves in both personal and client stories to make the content accessible while still explaining fairly complex concepts. The author makes a powerful case for creating a multilingual company including the opportunity for much higher growth and revenue. Beginning with the foundations required to build a successful business — define a corporate strategy, vision, mission, and company value statements — the Language of Global Marketing compares various strategies and value propositions of companies that provide translation, interpretation, and multilingual services to organizations going overseas. It makes clear distinctions for those who need to understand business from a global perspective such as explaining that English is NOT a global language and that to run an international business, it’s important to consider the difference between globalization, localization, transcription and translation. This book isn’t meant for a one-time read through but rather serves as reference for anyone creating a multilingual business complete with terms, definitions and a glossary.

Very helpful book
I found the book to be very helpful and vastly improved our marketing to our Latin American partners. I liked how each chapter ended with action items that helped us absorb and understand what we needed to do. We are already starting to see some results through better questions and responses from our partners. I would recommend this book to anyone who does business overseas.

Practical, easy to read, beneficial
I found this to be an easy to read, practical and innovative book full of advice for any professional wanting to increase profits by expanding into foreign markets, or simply needing to outreach multi-lingual existing customers and clients. I recommend this for anyone interested in marketing to an increasingly multi-lingual population with quality, native-speaking translation, interpretation, or multi-lingual services and materials for domestic or international needs. Every organization could benefit: health and medical, manufacturing, import/export, government and military, logistics, science and laboratory, education, agriculture, law enforcement... the list goes on and on. I don’t write many reviews but this one stood out for me.

This book, “The Language of Global Marketing,” is a wonderful resource.
I like the format – at the end of each chapter, the author lists action steps for the strategies discussed in that chapter. Even better, there is a chapter called Lessons Learned – How to Avoid Mistakes, that gives some great examples of what could go wrong. Those examples really helped me to see the potential impact of culture and language translation errors. When I first got this book, I thought it would talk about how to add a translation plug-in on my website. I was really surprised at the quantity and quality of information presented, and as for the automatic translation plug-in – I think I’ll be going in a different direction!Disclosure: I received a gift book from the company for an honest review

Great book – it was an easy read and wasn’t dry like some business books
I didn’t expect that I would enjoy reading this book – but I did! The author does a great job of weaving personal experiences and cautionary tales into an easy-to-follow plan for going global with your marketing strategy. It was funny, it was informative, and it opened my eyes to how the differences between cultures can impact business in ways you don’t expect.

Great Book
it was an easy read and wasn’t dry like some business books. So many stories and examples helped to illustrate the author’s points and were entertaining to read. I will be going back to this book to develop my company’s global marketing strategy. It’s basically a roadmap for businesses to expand internationally – and the advice doesn’t just apply to US businesses. Great resource!

This book is a guide for small or large businesses
This book is a guide for small or large businesses to expand globally using inbound marketing. It was well thought out, and it was an enjoyable read – I felt like I was having a casual conversation with the author, but I learned so much! What I especially liked was the chapter on global English and the chapter on cultural adaptation to engage your audience

This book is great, funny, and easy to read!
I have been looking for a practical book on global marketing and translation that is easy to read and has good information. The other books on this subject are textbooks and not practical enough to use in a business. This helps a lot. The best part is the way the author lays out a clear way to think about how to start. I do wish the author gave more diagrams and pictures.
