Q: do these sandals snag the hem of long dresses?

I haven't worn them with a long dress but I wouldn't think they would snag it ....BUT it would depend on the material of the dress really! I llove theses sandals!

Depends on how big your bunion is. It might work okay as there is room to leave an open space for the bunion. It really is the most comfortable shoe I've found for summer in a long time. But the choice is yours. You can always return the item if they don't fit to your comfort. I ordered me another style for a pool party I'm attending in a few weeks. Anxious for the compliments! Maybe you should just return them. Mine have absolutely no odor except from my feet! 🤷🏼♀️ Possibly a bad production?
