**Q: Will this cut very thin aluminmum sheets? I need to trim out some window holes on a camper that is covered in aluminmum sheets.**

**Q: Just double-checking my understanding.  Would it be correct to say that this downcutting bit pushes waste toward the bearing and away from the router?**
A: That is correct. This  it will give you a clean cut on the tip of the material as it exerts downward pressure - it may tear out the bottom for the same reason. A compression bit has both up and down, giving you a clean cut on both sides.
