what does it smell like?

Difficult to describe. Some floral, some spice, some powder. We bought every baby scent on the market. This is our favorite! We have a 2yo boy and 1yo girl. Good for boy or girl. The only one that lasted all day, or longer than an hour. Much much more concentrated, so you only need a dab.At first smell, I wasn't sure I liked it. An hour later they smelled like heaven! We get lots of compliments.We have several J&J half full bottles we will never use. They don't smell bad, they just evaporate quickly.

To me it doesn't smell very much like violets, certainly not like the one I bought from Cuba, but I like it nevertheless. It reminds me of the colognes of my childhood.

Is this the same fragrance as was used for Cuban babies or has it changed?

Yes, it smells good just like the original ones. I was raised in Miami and I used this brand on all my babies and although they're all adults now lol I still buy it cuz it smells so good that I use it as well. They also have another brand out there called Mi bebé, but I personally like this one much better cuz it comes in a glass bottle.
