They are super easy to clean, whether handwashing or using a dishwasher. The spring is a thicker coil so it stays in place, and also strains much more effectively than smaller, looser springs. It does remove easily if you're actually wanting to remove it for cleaning or to use the spring for dry-shaking. Definitely recommend!
