Awesome!
I bought this book for my seven year old nephew because I could see he can become anxious & can easily become worried. This book has so many great tools to relieve that nervous energy. I'm hoping the more I help him learn how to calm himself earlier he'll learn to handle his emotions far better & faster than I did at his age. Great book. Thank you to the author for providing helpful resources that are easily digestible for kids and adults alike!

Quick, calming read
I am glad the book used a real world example of a situation that could cause a child anxiety. The reason I gave it 4/5 stars instead of 5 is because I thought even more examples would be helpful. I liked how the book addressed what anxiety looks like and that everyone feels anxious sometimes.

Excited
This resource is a wonderful way to explain to my elementary students about how they are feeling. They can't always name the feeling (anxiety, stress, etc) so this will be helpful to give them a name to their feelings. I can't wait to use it with them.

This book might traumatize your child
I blame myself for not reading all the reviews first. My wife and I are not planning to divorce at all. Had I known that this was the real topic, I would not have bought this book for my son.I was reading this book to my 6-year old to help him with general anxiety. But the example used here is one that strikes fear and dread in the heart of any child, divorce. The problem is that there is no warning in advance. The reader, if they have no problems with their parents divorcing, will have no other thoughts once they finish this book. The book is colorful. The images are beautiful. The writing is clear. But this book doesn’t make my son feel safe and secure. It does the exact opposite.

Great at explaining how anxiety feels.
This book is great at explaining how you feel when you have anxiety. It provides many different situations and how it would feel. I love the tools it talks about to calm anxiety, like dandelions breathing. Based on the vocabulary, I would say that this book is appropriate for children in 2nd to 5th grade.

A great book for helping kids deal with anxiety
I like this book because it explains anxiety in a very relatable way to children. It also gives strategies that are easy to follow in the story as well as at the end of the book. I recommend this book to children, parents and educators.

Useful for children with anxiety
A useful book to share with a child who is anxious and worried. The story particularly mentions parents divorcing and child anxiety. So a great little story to use with children who feel worried in that situation. I loved the self help positive statement examples at the end of the book and the emphasis on focussing on what you can control and letting go of what you cannot. With attractive and bright illustrations this would be a handy book for helping children strengthen their emotional health and resilience.
