tested it on non painted panel and also on painted panels. no difference. This is a scam product. Dont waste your money or believe the reviews.

While not a high end paint meter, it's great to have on hand. It's better to check if you should paint polish/ correct automotive paint. No sense in working the paint if it's too thin. Very easy to use and note, it will not work on plastic bumpers.
