The first has been in continuous outdoor use for eight plus years (holding an Aspects hummingbird feeder) with no problems other than a slight yellowing. We needed a second for another hummingbird feeder so purchased another here, as our local bird shop where we purchased the first relocated out of the area.Update: Both purchases are holding up nicely and the first is still in use in its 10th year. The suction cups of both purchases are adhering quite well to the vinyl frame of our windows, so we don't have to look at the suction cups. Just the feeder and the hook are showing which gives a nicer view out. Both hooks have adhered well using the instructions which were on the package. They are a bit larger than they appear in the picture (probably about a foot from top to bottom), which isn't a huge issue.One hook went up with no problems and I was able to hang the hummingbird feeder on this. No complaints there.The other? I spent 20 minutes running downstairs and outside to retrieve the hook from my shrubs, bring it back upstairs, and rehang it, only to have it fall again. You may wonder what I was hanging on it that was making it fall. Was it a bowling ball? Perhaps a palette of bricks? A 2 ton weight? A grand piano? No, it was a hummingbird swing weighing all of 1.25 oz. Seriously. You can see it in my picture.I finally washed it off really well and tried resticking it, and it's held for about an hour now, but I can see that the suction isn't great and it's probably going to fall off again soon. Which means another trip outside for retrieval.
