Is it adjustable?** A: It turns pretty slowly - maybe 3-5rpm. speed isn't adjustable. The motor is strong as are all the components. I roasted a 40lb-pig with no issues. Overall it's a great unit. I looked at a lot of options on Amazon and am glad I paid the extra $$ for this unit. **Q: is the motor 50 Hz or 60 Hz?** A: 60 hz, 6 RPM Bruce SpitJack **Q: Is there a grill basket that is compatible with this system?** A: Not exactly. The motor is more than enough, at least for our 70 lb hog. The spit rod and braces were easy to use. Now for the not good stuff. The U-bolts to to secure the spine are too short, they could have splurged and gone with longer U-bots. The legs or braces are definitely not stable for a 70 lb hog, we almost lost ours. We had to secure the legs with wire to concrete blocks I had. And finally the thermostat that came with it bent in half as soon as I inserted it. Great idea for a rotisserie, just cheaply designed for the price.
