This unit is not what you think.
Be careful with this UPS, it does not operate like you would think. We purchased this UPS for back up power at radio tower site, replacing a unit from a different manufacture that had been in service for 12 years. We are feeding a power distribution panel with 220 volts and splitting the 220 volt legs to 110 volt outlets. This is just like a regular breaker box.The Tripp Lite SU6000RT4UHV UPS handles the 220 legs in a non conventional manner. When there is purchase power coming into to unit the two 220 legs act OK. The unit feeds 110 on each leg in reference to the neutral. BUT, when the purchase power is off and the UPS is generating power from the batteries. One leg is powered with 220 volts and the other leg has zero volts in relation to neutral. I had 220 V in some 110 outlets and zero in others, not good. This must be some sort of cheap and dirty inverter circuit. I can not recommend this unit for anything except maybe backing up a purely resistive 220 volt load. Maybe back up your water heater.Good Luck

Very Impressive!!!
Under $1800 for a 6kVA UPS? It's AMAZING! The first one has been performing flawlessly for months and we plan to order more as the business grows. We're using the UPS to isolate and protect a custom-made automation system from Germany that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's cheap insurance and we believe this UPS will extend the life, the reliability and the "Up Time" of our automation by a factor of three or more. Besides isolating from AC voltage spikes and line noise, the small built-in lead-acid batteries allow us several minutes of AC Power, so we can have an orderly shut-down of the automation, whenever the power fails.

Noisy fans
I'm using this for a home theater. The fans in it run 24/7, so it is too noisy for this application. I will need to move it to a remote location away from the theater.

Its a great asset
Its protecting a $130,000.00 piece of equipment we have at work. So far it has worked just fine and we have had it over a year and had had brown outs and a couple of power failures. the price on line with amazon prime was a great savings.
