This is a great timer module that is very flexible for many hobby uses. This seller shares very good programming guides so you can actually program the module for your hobby project. I appreciate the fact that this seller does not leave you twisting in the wind with no instruction on how to program and use. The enclosure is very sturdy and has openings for wires and screwdriver for tighening wire clamps for a good connection. I've seen comments that the enclosure is not necessary, but I found the enclosure both necessary and extremely sturdy. This is my first purchase of this module, but I'm likely to purchase this again for future projects. My current project is to recycle condensed water in a mushroom growing chamber. As condensed water drains into a contrainer, this module is triggered by a float switch which activates a water pump to empty the container to recycle the water. Once activated by the float switch, I can keep the pump running for the exact period of time necessarry to evacuate water from the container. This module give me precise control over the length of time the pump is activated. This modude is perfect for my use and for many other applications involving triggering and timing. I wired this according to diagram using only ONE power source. No need for more than one power source. It works perfectly with ONE power adapter delivering 12 volts. i rate this product a BUY !!!

Pros :Unbeatable price for the multiple features/settings it offers. Compact. Clean look. Have used it everyday for months and still works as new. Acrylic case makes easy to rig addig perforations to run additional wires and push buttons onto the housing. Cons: Instructions seem to be translated from Chinese to English, which makes it really hard to understand. It should be reviewed by an american to makes sure is easily understood by english spoken people.

This little timer module is handy for lots of things....within limits. Setting and using the timer is easy. I really didn't need the instructions for anything. I had 1 issue with it. The plastic case has an incorrect part. See the third and forth images. One short side was made wrong. It was too long and the opening for the wire connections was too small. Some filing and I made it fit the rest of the case and the proper opening size. Feature improvements: The timer uses mosfets directly on it's output. This is good and bad depending on your application 1. If you need to control something and have it electrically isolated from the timer, you will need to use a relay attached to the output. For stuff powered from the same source as the timer, the mosfets are fine used directly. 2. IF you need more than 30v DC, again, you need a relay since the mosfets are good up to 30v 3. The specs say 15 amps. I'm hesitant to go higher than 10 amps continuous. The mosfets are small and the terminal strip probably will get too hot at 15 amps and melt. 4. Typical mosfet switching in this kind of application is done by connecting and disconnecting from ground instead of +V. This may or may not be a problem for your application. 5. A small relay on the output would add very little cost and be a much better option since it would be electrically isolated from the timer and work with DC or AC current. For low voltage 5-30v DC and lower current (10 amps or less) and you don't care if you are switching off ground instead of +V, then this timer is pretty useful as is. For any other use, you really need an external relay.

The board has all sorts of different ways to configure it that makes it very flexible. It was exactly what I was looking for. A bit difficult to understand the instructions, but this is typical of Chinese translations. Bench test it first and you can soon figure it out and it retains the settings so you can set it up before you put it into place. My only complaint is the contacts for connecting the wires are a bit small and close together which makes it difficult to fit larger gauge wire. I like that they include a simple case for the board. Mine fit together perfectly.

No instructions included. How hard is it to print a QR code or something? I only received the circuit board and a collection of plastic pieces and screws. After assembling, then locating the instructions, there is still no wiring diagram. This is NOT SUITABLE FOR AUTOMOTIVE USE. A fact which would have been readily apparent had the seller or manufacturer included even the most rudimentary wiring diagram. The reason this isn't suitable for automotive use it that it doesn't shut down the + circuit, only the ground. Since cars have a common ground you can't interrupt the circuit of any component that uses a chassis ground, which is almost all of them. Pretty frustrating to spend an hour and a half under my dash wiring this thing to find that it leaves the positive side of the circuit hot 24/7.
