AWESOME!!!
I got this for a Telecaster build that I wanted to have that vintage look. I couldn't be more happy. It was easy to apply, dries quick, the nozzle is easy to use and sprays a great pattern, and it looks awesome. Would buy again for a future build. A+.

This stuff is great!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Unbelievable results from a can. 6 coats, a rubdown with 3000 grit and a polish made my project good as new.

True to representation
It was the exact color and quality of paint I’d been searching for. I’m very pleased!

excellent quality finish
I build telecaster and fendercaster bodies, and build guitars using Fender necks etc. I had cut out fiver ash bodies and a couple of spruce bodies, I built a spruce body and put this product on the body after using pore filler. I sprayed four coats on, let it sit overnight, dry sanded to level with 700 grit, reppeated the process three more times until I had a total of 16 coats on. I then let it sit for four days. I then wet sanded with 1000 grit, then 1200 grit. Let it sit for a couple of days, then buffed it out. It looks fabulous. I put a Bigsby tailpiece, a brown tortoise shell pickguard, a Fender Nashville neck and WIlkinson pickups. It sounds and looks terrific, just as nice as my Fender factory made Tele. Highly recommend it especially if you don't have the room or equipment to spray with a compressor and paint gun.

Worked great for me. Pricy though.
Would have given it 5 stars based on the product alone. But Stewmac apparently needs to make a huge markup on their stuff. Its quality though so 4 stars based on the over all experience.

This stuff is great but very fragile
Shipping took WAY too long. Price is about the same as the total with shipping direct from Stew Mac. Product is fantastic. I’d say its as good or better than Minwax brushing laquer in aerosol. In particular, this has the aged look. It can be layered enough to get a very dark look or it can be very light. The qty in the can is also a proper amount. It sprays very well until you get close to the end of the can, then it does start to spatter a bit but if you just shake it very well, you can get pretty close to every last drop. Obviously you want to make sure you have another can to continue the process.

StewMac - that basically says it all! Just perfect.
I could copy paste this review for anything from StewMac. I've been shopping with them for years and years! Customer service is beyond outstanding. If there's a problem they take care of it, If it wasn't even remotely their fault, they still take care of it. Rare to see such a committed Make the Customer Happy policy! As for this lacquer.... it is professional grade and I get professional results. It is not the cheapest and it performs like a premium product. Please don't skimp on paints and clears - it is never worth the savings. Buy the good stuff - and this is the good stuff. If you aren't practiced spraying lacquer, please research it, practice on scrap first, and most importantly USE A PROPER MASK! This lacquer is more than up to the task of a top grade finish - the end result is at this point up to the technique and skill of the person using it.
