The 3M Scotch-Brite Primer Prep Scuff is a fantastic product for preparing surfaces before painting. It’s easy to use, and the 4-3/4 in x 15 ft size is just right for most projects. It effectively scuffs the surface, helping the primer and paint adhere better, without damaging the underlying material. I’ve used it on metal and plastic, and it’s worked great on both! The scuffing leaves a nice uniform texture that’s perfect for getting a smooth finish. Definitely recommend it for any prep work before painting!

i love having a big roll of this. i use it to scrub cast iron and stainless steel pans and for everything else that needs a good scrubbing. when it's gone through the laundry a number of times my husband uses it for cleaning the eggs. at the point it's so yucky i don't want it in the kitchen anymore he takes it out to his forge for some use i didn't bother to listen to. i share with him for whatever other uses he has. i was thrilled to find this in quantity at a good price. where i live everything costs more than going somewhere else.

I got this to prep motorcycle tins for primer. The tank and fenders were down to bare metal and these pads scuffed it right up. I ended up doing lots of body work using filler so I had to sand down to 80 grit but the plastic parts (side covers and cowl) scuffed up nice and are now ready for paint!

I should have bought a box of these years ago. I had to redo some paint work on a vehicle and needed to scuff the door jams - previously I had used other products that did not work well or didn't last very long. I scuffed both door jams plus a bunch of other small areas with just a small 2" strip that I cut off - it's still going strong and scuffs just as well as it did the moment I cut it off the roll! Huge time saver, highly recommended.
