Simplism Japan Flip Note Style for iPhone 4 - Chocolate Black - 1 Pack - Case - Retail Packaging

Since getting my Iphone,I had gone through multiple of the vertical flip variation from simplism before trying this one. I tried this one because of the pocket inside the front cover and because I was having trouble with the grips on the sides of the others becoming loose. This version had a greater width on one of the outside grips which I hoped would fix that problem. If I had to choose between the two variations I have tried, I would easily choose the vertical flip. When using this particular version, having anything in the pocket (e.g. single credit card or cleaning pad) would prevent the product from snapping shut. The grips did not become loose but the phone did pop out when I dropped it recently and the grip broke completely off resulting in my 3 year old Iphone's first scratches... With the vertical flip, at least I was able to replace the case before the problems resulted scratches. Another issue that I hadn't expected was the difficulty that came with answering calls. It was uncomfortable and very resistant when it came to folding the phone back to answer calls. I figured the case hinge would become more flexible with use. Somewhat resistant at first when it came to using as a stand and holding back for accepting calls, vertical stand was somewhat impractical since most apps used when trying to use stand (games, video, etc) were more desired to be in landscape position.I would not recommend the flip note product to a friend. I may recommend the vertical flip although it had problems, it served its purpose for the most part. The flip note certainly did not.

Case is very attractive but not very functional. Inside pocket can only hold one credit card or id or won't close. More suitable for a left handed person as the case flips out to the right. Alignment of the holder is tighter at the top than bottom so the case does pop open from time to time. If you drop your phone with the case it still has a chance for the phone to pop out of the plastic frame. It is not a protective case as it is more of an aesthetic case. Also hard to answer phone calls with how the case flips to the side as opposed to up or down for easier access.

The case flips out to the right but it's normal, it's a japanese book, I like Japan and I'm lefty. The poket can only hold one card but who cares, I use it just for little one-day memos. The leather still resists, it doesn't peel yet and time is going on. I like it also if the plastic's not fantastic but the case protect the phone well and that's enough.

earlier when i got this i thought it was an awesome case but with time , the case has become loose,i dont know what to expect and whom to contact for this.

I wished I listened to the reviews because although I think it looks nice, the final product is just not good at all. The leather case is already peeling off. Too annoying to return so I guess I have to keep this junk.

This cover is very nice looking.........but opens from the back, something like reading a book backwards.If you put your iPhone upside-down it is more comfortable but then the camera lens is covered up.This must have been made for markets where people read from right to left.JoAnne N.
