Great Information For Singles Also!
The book recommend individual therapy, 12 step programs, group therapy and ways to work this out with other relationships, like the workplace (sharing vulnerability, improved conflict resolution, communication and empathy/ boundary training). They said since this is a relationship issue, it’s better worked out in a relationship. There are also ways for you to re-parent yourself. These are all things you can do as a single person to prepare yourself for your next relationship. There is also a section on page 141 regarding working alone and the safety it brings. From my point of view, there are a lot of things a single person can take away from this book.

Take it with a pinch of salt
I'd say about two thirds of this was useful and helpful for me, whereas the other third either felt like they were trying to expand concepts to gain more funding, or was purely hippy leanings that spoke more of their individual journey than being applicable to all. That said, I've managed to work through a lot of my issues with the guidance from this book and I've got much better insight into others in my life.

I'm so messed up about knowing how to have a healthy relationship with a woman that I feel desperate and clueless on how to do it. I am working with a woman doing the reading and exercises, discussing the activities and engaging in honest dialogue with this partner. I see that after the first 70 pages that I am making progress. I will need the rest of my life to practice and honor myself and those I'm in relationship with. This book is an opening into a part of life that I have been unsuccessful in for over 60 years.
