Seems like a good deal
I haven't actually used this product in a camping situation yet, but it arrived in perfect shape. It appears to be well built. It's smaller than I imagined, but probably just fine for one person's cooking/eating needs. I like how it all stacks together and fits neatly inside the drawstring bag that was provided. It's lighter than I expected, so that will be a good thing when carrying with other equipment. If I need to revise my review after using it in a real-world situation, I will.

Great but not Exceptional
This mess kit is attractive and useful. It packs away nicely in the included carrying case, seems quite durable and was large enough to accommodate camp breakfast and dinner for two (beef and broccoli, scrambled eggs and bacon, garlic shrimp with mushrooms) without being unmanageable. It's slightly overbalanced with the handles extended, so be cautious while balancing it on your burner until you've put something in it.The finish seems durable but not exceptional, and I expect it will rapidly accrue discoloration and scarring from burnt food and heat. Only time will tell if that will just be cosmetic or if it will affect product performance. Related to that, I would hesitate to use any cleaning utensil other than the natural sponge it comes with, or any cooking utensil besides the bamboo paddle it, again, comes with. The plastic bowls included in the kit are sufficient, but this kit can definitely cook more food than it can serve. A couple of plates would have been nice and there would absolutely be room for them without increasing this products footprint any, and another spork (it only comes with one) also seems a glaring oversite. One final complaint, perhaps unjustified, is that I feel the picture is misleading. It looks as though the pan fits firmly into the skillet, and it appears there is some clamping pressure to the handles, but neither is true. The handles swing easily and are not firmly "locked" either when folded or extended, and the pan only rests inside the skillet rather than tightly seating inside it. Also, the included lid only fits the pot and not the skillet, which is unfortunate. Please see the included images of our beef and broccoli dinner, which was great, and read my review of the Etekcity Ultralight Portable Outdoor Backpacking Camping Stoves with Piezo Ignition (Orange) that we purchased as companion to the mess kit. As the image shows they are quite attractive together.

Great set for a beginner or weekend camper
This is a great little cook set for one or two people. It boils enough water at one time to re-hydrate food for two or a big serving for one and still have water left over for a cup of coffee or cider. I don't use the included accessories but they are a nice addition if you are starting out and don't have anything at all. The non-stick seems to work well but I have only cooked a meal in it once and it cleaned up easily. The fry pan looks like it would serve it's purpose well, however I use it as my bowl/plate to eat off of and the lid to keep the bugs out while re-hydrating.

Very disappointing. First scrambled eggs we made stuck to the bottom and did not cleaned up until after 4-5 washes.

Good for kids -small
Ordered for a back packing trip for my son. For the price it's a pretty decent starting kit for a kid. It is extremely small, like the size of a salad plate, will fit in one hand. The extra pieces in it are okay. Not practical for than one person. For $10-$15 more you can get a high quality pan set at REI without the extra pieces you won't use.

Handles Melt Easily
Very compact and easy to store in backpack, but the handles are made of cheap plastic and melt easily.

"Pan" you handle it? "Yes!"
I have taken this thing backpacking in the northern cascades and this was definitely reliable. As long as you remember to fold out the handles before you heat the pot you'll be fine. Cleaning wasn't bad as long as you rinsed it as soon as you got done eating. (like every other pot and pan) The fork came in handy, and it's really nice how it all folds in together. Some people think that the bottom pan connects to the large pan and that's not the case. The case it comes it really makes it nice to have in my pack. I would buy this one again in a heartbeat.

Small but functional
This mess kit was small and lightweight and contained everything we needed. Although we didn't especially abuse it and so can't speak how well it holds up under extreme conditions, it held up well, was easy to clean up and is ready for our next trip.
