Hip Peas Natural Hair Styling Balm/Gel/Pomade - Light Hold, 2 oz jar

This hair balm works great for kids! First off, it’s packaged nicely and has a good quantity. There is a nice light scent and it has a well mixed texture. I would like to emphasize this is a balm/palmade which if you have ever tried a palmade it’s not comparable to hair gel. A lot of people I’ve noticed who use this expect a palmade to last all day which is not the case for ANY brand. You will want to find a different product in general such as a gel if that’s your goal. This balm is easy to apply to hair, does not leave any residue and has a nice soft smooth finish that is durable for majority of the day. My son has very thick hair and a very bad cowlick in the front of his hair, this palmade is easy to apply and easily tames his hair. Outside of adult palmade and gels, this is the first kids balm we have tried and I will certainly be buying more of this in the future.

The item smells amazing, is light, and does the job. The hold isn’t as long as I would like (only hold for two to three for my kids) but I still love this product against others. A little does go a long way, it’s great quality, and did I mention it smells AMAZING!! The kids love it too!

It took a us many product trials to finally fall upon Hip Peas and now it’s the only styling product we will use for our 3 boys’ hair. They are 7, 5 and 3, all with straight hair but a mix between one having coarse hair and the other two having baby fine hair and this product is very versatile working well for all 3 kids! It’s sticky but not a dry sticky that feels like that paste that balls up, it’s smoother and more pliable! The small isn’t overwhelming, it’s a sweeter almost candy smell but again you can’t even smell it unless you put your nose right up to the jar. I do wish it came with an option for more a noticeable clean scent though !! My favorite features are that it is free of chemicals, parabens etc and is cruelty free. This is a product we will likely subscribe too from now now on!

Smells great! At first we didn't use a lot on my son's hair because we didn't know what to expect. It held for a short time. He has a lot of hair but his hair is fine and pin-straight, so it fell back into its natural state. We used a lot more product for picture day, just a basic comb-over style. It stayed together just in time for pictures first thing in the morning. By the afternoon it didn't look like he had product in his hair, but you can still feel it in his hair by running your fingers through it. So I'm on the fencepost because it holds momentarily, its fairly natural, not sticky, and smells great.

As a first time boy mom, I am slowly learning how to fix my sons hair everyday, and I wanted something that was all natural (Since he most likely will get this on his hands and stick it in his mouth) and I really wanted something that was very forgiving, meaning that I could build up the product if needed. I didn't want that classic gel, like boys had in the 90's that was strong hold and made hair instantly crunchy! I discovered this worked best with wet hair, it dispersed the product more evenly and was very easy to work with! And this little jar will last you a lifetime with the small amount that you need! It also has such a clean refreshing smell to it, almost a little fruity-ish, but nothing overpowering or super girly smelling!

On my second tub. Highly recommend for toddlers hair. My son has long hair that I put into a manbun and this paste helps smooth it and keep everything in place! Smells light and clean. Doesn't have too hard of a hold and not sticky.

Works well and smells nice. Just a little sticky on hand. Great for light styling, but hold doesn’t last all day.

This is the only hair pomade that has ever worked on my son! His hair can be rather uncooperative, but this stuff is pure magic! It works every time, and it holds the style for hours and hours on end--usually the whole day!

It keeps my sons curls tight. His hair usually goes flat after wearing a hat but when i use this i just have to run my fingers in his hair and its back to curly. I love this.

this product is packed really cute, and smells really good but not overpowering. I bought it for my sons mohawks but it’s not the greatest for that, you can see the cream and it looks all weird.

Bought for my 2 year oils boys wild hair. This stuff tames it down and I love that it doesn’t have crazy chemicals in it. I wouldn’t buy this if you’re looking for a firm hold

It is greasy, it does seem to do the job but just for a few minutes and then the effect wears off. Also it leaves dandruff like whitish powder in the hair after drying out. The bottle is smaller than it looks in the pictures.

Is a good product for just keep the hair nice, if you looking until for more hold maybe look into another product. But is amazing for babies with a lot of hair to keep of the eyes
