Too small for cost
I really have to say I was deeply disappointed in this. This photograph shows the biggest amount of dates and it looks great and delicious - but the actual item that came was smaller in circumference than a paper plate and had a very small amount of dates on it.I bought it for a Christmas present and even paid extra to have it delivered on time but was very embarrassed when I gave it to my friend. I will probably not purchase this again through this vendor.

I would be embarrassed!
I would be embarressed to give this as a gift! The 1 pound Swiss Colony Holiday Fruit Tray looks nothing like the featured photo on the Amazon website. And at about $34.00! Very pricey and deceptive advertising. See photo of what I actually got. The photo on the website appears to indicate about 24 pieces each of the apricots, dates, and prunes. In actuality, the 1 pound tray has about 12 pieces each of the apricots, dates, and prunes with about 5 pieces of the date/coconut pieces. The tray was only about 6 inches square.Strengths:1 The apricots and the dates (with pits in them) tasted fresh and were soft.Drawbacks:1 $34.00 for a 1 pound tray.2 Actual 1 pound product looks nothing like the photo. Not only is it not as attractive, but you only receive about half of the pieces that are pictured.3 The date/coconut pieces were soft, but had an odd flavor. The flavor was not like other date/coconut pieces I have had.4 The prunes were rather tough and chewy--they did not taste fresh.Overall:If you are looking for a dried fruit tray to enjoy--or to give as a gift, you might consider other options.

Not like the picture
Simply put, this is 1 lb of basic, average dried fruit for $33.99. Way too expensive. Where I live you could buy a pound of any of these dried fruits for under $7. The tray is just a basic wooden square. It is all much smaller and not nearly as nice looking as the picture posted. Pic I included is on a regular size dinner plate for size comparison. The apricots and prunes have preservatives in case that is something you think about - I do (sulfur dioxide and potassium sorbate). The dates were unpitted and in varying degrees of freshness. The apricots and prunes were just ok. This would be a ho-hum gift.
