The Package She Had Waited Days..
Finally arrivedSuddenly she let out a blood curdling scream of horror," POLY ESTER! " No it was not her socially experimental college bestie. It was worse, much worse! Summer shorts made from dead dinosaurs! POLYESTER PETROLEUM BASED SYNTHETIC PLANET POLLUTING POLYESTER! She grabbed a mimosa to steady her nerves, and summing up her courage she tried them on. "WHAT? XL ? MAYBE XL FOR A TWIG! These are NOT the flowing drapey beach shorts I wanted!Oh why did I not just go to Macy's?" She asked herself in dismay. The tears of frustration 😭 in her quest to find quality natural fiber clothing ran down her face.

Cute, comfortable and stylish!
These shorts are AMAZING. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them. They’re made of a substantial cotton like material so they aren’t see through and aren’t sticking to my thighs but still light weight enough for a hot day. I’m a mom of twins and need something that won’t budge or move and is high waisted to cover up my c-section area and these did the trick. I’m usually between a L and XL and I decided to size up to the XL. I’m glad I did because I like my shorts on the looser side. These fit perfect. I’m 5’6 and weight about 189lbs for reference. I love that these can be dressed up or down and how incredibly comfortable they are. I highly recommend!

Comparison
I ordered from 3 different sellers, who all had the exact same listing photo. Starting from the left Merokeety, Fekoafe, Anftfh. The color of Merokeety was the most accurate. The material of all three are 100% cotton and not flowy like the photos but very stiff. I’m not going to keep any of them. They sell the same shorts that are actually just like the photo at Old Navy for $20

Flattering and comfy
I bought these in dusty blue.Pros: Loose fit, modest length without looking frumpy, construction seems fine, arrived quickly, functional tie waistband with elastic, breathable and cool for a synthetic, flattering, color works with many top colors and style, legs are quite wide if you size upCons: rayon/modal although the listing advertised them as woven cotton, fast fashion (although I’ll make them last as long as possible and then repurpose them,) wise legs could lead to inadvertent flashing of lady bits, so please wear full coverage nude underwear.Measurements and fit:I’m 5’6 140 lbs, usually a medium 6-8 in trousers, but I ordered up a size. They are a bit shorter than I’d usually choose with a hem about 6.5” above the knee, but the draped style keeps them modest. My legs are slender, but more muscular or thicker legs would look good in these too depending upon the shoes. They are good for casual wear around the house, to the beach or park, and, if you live in a casual area like the Pacific NW, are fine for running errands. I wear mind around the yard for gardening with sneakers and a scoop necked t shirt.Styling:They’s look cute with a pair of flat sandals, white Superga/Keds sneakers, simple flat sandals or booties. White or nude pink peasant or cotton lace blouses, neutral, mint green, mauve, navy, dusty pastels, chalky primary tops, layered chambray or white cotton or silk button up, camp shirt, scoop, boat or V neck t shirt, Breton stripes, or, slightly shaped cropped tops . I’m getting a second pair in sage.Bottom line: stylish and comfy choice for grown women who want to look good in shorts. I wouldn’t wear them in the city, to work, etc. For puttering around the house, errands, and, the beach, though, they add an extra bit of sophistication instead of the typical cut offs, dowdy chino, or, tight Bermuda’s.

Not for Skinny Gals - save your money
Skinny gals, this aint for you. Don't buy. Honestly I get that this is a baggy look is 'in' , but I am 130 lbs and 5 8" and these are just huge and unflattering. Quality is fine, but overall... not for my body type at all. I am keeping them as like lounge around pants.. but I would not wear these out of the house. I am not going to show you any photos of me in the squatting position but wooo revealing. There is probably a 3 inch inseam on these shorts, but because they are so baggy it just feel like at any moment my butt cheeks are going to come out the bottom. I feel like I would need to wear like shorts underneath these shorts because its essentially like wearing a skirt for me ha. The material is crinkly even when they are dried in the dryer. I think that is just the look? Crinkly and wrinkled? I bought shorts for cheaper at OldNavy that are less wrinkly and fit better.Skinny gals - You can do better. Sure they look cute from the front, but I would pay $10 for these.Save your money.

Ok with modification
Ok, with some modification. I ordered up a little to make sure they were comfy. Waist runs small, the rest runs large. I cut out the elastic in the waist (I'm using the existing drawstring, but may add my own longer elastic later) and took in the rest, now they are pretty comfy. If you have a small waist and bigger hips/thighs, these would be great. I have a larger hourglass shape, so I don't usually have this problem.

poor sizing and not as they appear in the photos
These run way too small. I bought two sizes up (I'm petite and slender) for a loose fit. These wouldn't fit me if I bought the largest size. Also, the material is a very thin, rough, flimsy linen-like material. Not at all what it looks like in the photos. The photos look like a soft chambray or khaki stretch material. I bought another color after I purchased these because the photos looked so nice. They'll be going back along with these.

Cute Shorts 🙌
I'm surprisenly satisfied with an Amazon order. I'm 5'-2" 180lbs. Gotta bum with a tummy, I typically bottoms 12/14 or XL.Hips: 41"/117cmWaist: 39"/100cmThighs: 23 1/2"/ 59cmI ordered an XL. I love these shorts I bought three of them all different colors. They are stretchy and very cute. Very comfortable. The white weren't a true white they kind of have a pinkish tint to them but I still like them. Great buy and recommend!
