Internal springs keep breaking
Stay away!I’ve replaced or fixed this mortise at least 4 times in the past 5 years. That’s almost once a year. The internal springs inside the assembly are thin and prone to breaking from normal wear and tear.The part that breaks the most is the return spring for the catch (the part that keeps the door closed). It has broken numerous times. Prime line doesn’t seem sell a replacement for this cheap part that probably costs less than a dollar to make.Other parts that have broken as well are the return springs for the handle. Also the springs that operate the dead bolt.Finally, the assembly is a pain to put back together if you open up the mortise.I’m trying to find another brand replacement without any luck. I may end up replacing the whole door for a better system. I’m extremely frustrated that a $1 part is causing me to replace an entire door.

Waste of money! Very poorly designed!
The company that provided the product was fine. The product itself is not designed well. This is the 6th lock I have bought for the same door. I this one locked me OUT on the second day after installation. I am replacing the whole door because of this horrible lock.

Disappointed - Didn't fit well - Spring latch stopped working in a month's time
Disappointed. I have purchase replacement security lock assemblies like this in the past and they usually hold up for at least a few years. This one didn't fit really well (had to drill another hole in the door frame for the upper screw hole) and then the upper spring latch stopped working. Now it's stuck and won't pop out like it should.I can't recommend the product at this point.

Disappointed
I purchased this lock insert together with the K 5062 Key Cylinder w/Thumbturn. Unfortunately, the thumb turn knob is very sticky and difficult to turn, even after applying WD40. The lock slides out without a problem, but getting it to slide back in is an exercise in frustration. I would not purchase this again or recommend it.

This replacement product was the right one. It was easy to install and is working great.
