Great OEM replacement filter at a great price
It has been my experience so far that these filters work as good, or nearly as good, as the OEM filters that cost a LOT more. My water tastes good again and my ice is clear. I ordered the three pack with some trepidation because of the reviews, but I thought I would take a chance. Here's my take on the matter:I live in California where over the past few years we have been in a drought. I used to change my filter fairly regularly, but like a lot of people, I kind of neglected it for a couple of years. The water quality in my area is typically much better than other areas in Southern California because I live next to the mountains and a fair distance away from the coast. But gradually I noticed the water quality get worse and worse as my filter got older and older, and the local aquifers got lower and lower. So, when I finally replaced the filter with one of these Pureplus filters, the first thing I noticed was the brown cruddy water that came dripping out of the filter boss when I disconnected the old filter. Clearly, I had waited much too long to change my filter. The old filter was full of muck and whatever comes down the pipes from the water department, and I suspect it hadn't been filtering much for some time. I also assume that there is some way for water to bypass the filter if it becomes totally clogged, kind of like the oil filter in your car. Even though the filter was full, the fridge never stopped making ice. Anyway, when I changed to a new filter it took a while for the crud that had been building up in the lines between the filter and the faucet to be flushed out. At first, I got some rather brown and rusty looking water, but after a gallon or two it cleared up completely. Good as new (well, almost).I think that when the refrigerator manual says change the filter every 6 months or it could cause damage, it is talking about this gunk that can build up in the lines when you don't change it regularly. Some of the bad experiences people have had with this filter might be related to the fact that they don't change their filter often enough. I did not experience any installation issues - the arrow marked on the filter lined up nicely with the arrow on the refrigerator and the fit was snug but not too tight. No leaks or anything like that. The first one works great, and if the other two work as well, I will definitely buy these filters again.

Fraction of the price
So far, still alive, and the water tastes great! I was suspicious of replacing the name-brand with my refrigerator of leaks, etc. However, it works just as great and is a fraction of the price of the name brand. Saving money and not using plastic water bottles is the best!

Great replacement for OEM
At half the price for one, I was worried it would not fit or work properly. However, it fits and seems to be working properly.Since it was a multi pack, looking forward to the next replacement

Didn’t fit but right model number listed on it
Had the exact model number of my original, but they would not lock into place, and create a seal to allow the water to flow through it, sad part I spent three days thinking we were drinking filter water only to find out not a single drop of water ever made it through the filter, I can laugh about it now

No leaks, fits perfectly
I am always a bit hesitant to buy a product that has darn near perfect ratings, especially an off-brand. But this product is the real deal. Will have to see what happens in a few months but after a week, no leaks and no funny taste to the water. Price is also reasonable for a 3-pack.
