BODUM 3 Cup Chambord French Press, 1 EA

This is advertised as for 3 cups, and it’s certainly not the cup size I’m used to making in my original Bodum. European coffee maybe. This press is only 12 ounces as opposed to 3 eight ounce cups I make in my old Bodum. However, it will suffice to make concentrated loose leaf green tea which was my intention for buying a new Bodum. I selected Bodum because I can remove the glass container and heat the water in the microwave.

Works fabulous! I have had this for a few weeks now and I love getting up in the morning to make my coffee. I would like to get a larger one soon but for now the 3-cup works just fine for me. The coffee tastes superb, and one cup will cure a lack of caffeine headache for me where as in a drip machine I have to drink three cups.

Works just the way it should and easy to clean. Filters out grinds.

This is nice but for a premium product, the lid should have no plastic that touches the coffee. I find it funny that the outer portion of the lid that is most visable is stainless steel but the part that touches the coffee as you pour it is plastic. This is obviously better than the whole beaker being plastic but it still leaches microplastics into your drink as you pour it into your cup. I also dislike the raised writing on the glass beaker. Raised writing as this can contain lead and/or cadmium. Another small complaint is that the beaker fits slightly loose into the stand, so as I pour the coffee, I have to hold the lid so that it doesnt fall as I pour the last bit out. I wound up buying another brand's french press (Sivaphe 12 oz French Press Coffee/Tea Maker Single Cup Espresso Press Stainless Steel Filter 0.35L High Borosilicate Carafe Durable Bamboo Handle Small Coffee Maker) and combining the parts that I liked of each of the 2 products. I used the Sivaphe glass beaker and bamboo lid with the Bodum stainless steel stand with the plastic handle. I would have just used the Sivaphe french press, but its bamboo lid did not seem as durable as Bodum's plastic handle.

This french press is perfect in every way.

French press coffee is delicious, and this model works well and cleans up nicely. This is perfect for one or two cups.

Danish - not French!

Now if like me, you can’t face the world in the morning until you’ve had a cup of coffee but don’t have the time to make a full pot and don’t particularly enjoy pod coffees, then you’re going to love this. This small but perfectly formed Bodum Chambord French press is just the thing for a quick and easy cup of ground coffee. The design and finish is very good as you would expect from a respected brand such as Bodum. The function is just as good, with a simple plunger and filter that is very effective as it does a great job at ensuring a smooth and tasty cup is poured, time and time again. It cleans well after use and it’s ready to go again! As you can see in my video, I used a very small cup and just about get 2 cups. If using a mug it’s enough for 1 good cup. In summary, it’s a nice little thing that produces great coffee for one. It’s not as cheap as others but it’s a quality item, from a quality brand.

La uso prácticamente todas las mañanas para preparar café para una persona. Quería algo simple, duradero y sin complicaciones. Lo que me ha gustado: Muy resistente: el cristal y la estructura metálica aguantan perfectamente el uso diario. El café sale realmente rico: buen cuerpo y aroma, ideal para preparar una taza rápida pero de calidad. La cuchara medidora es un plus: facilita mucho mantener siempre la misma proporción. Muy fácil de lavar: se desmonta en un momento y queda impecable con agua y jabón. Tamaño perfecto si tomas una o dos tazas pequeñas. A tener en cuenta: En un par de ocasiones (2–3 desde que la compré), al bajar el émbolo he notado más resistencia de lo normal y he tenido que aplicar algo de fuerza, lo que provocó una pequeña salpicadura. No ocurre siempre, pero diría que pasa cuando el café queda más fino o se compacta un poco más. Detalles que no aparecen en la ficha: El émbolo normalmente baja suave, el diseño es elegante y ocupa poquísimo espacio en la encimera. En resumen: Una cafetera práctica, bonita y con un sabor excelente para uso individual. Muy recomendable si quieres una prensa francesa resistente y fácil de mantener. El único detalle es revisar la molienda para evitar resistencia ocasional al presionar.

Tellement meilleur le café ! La qualité de cette cafetière à piston est impeccable ! Pour 1 bol ou 2 tasses. Très facile à nettoyer.
