Kastar Kastar AC Adapter, Power Supply LCD 12V 4A 48W for LCD Monitor, LED strip Light and other Low Voltage Device

My 13-yr old monitor needed a new power adapter as it was turning on and off constantly. I wanted to try a new power adapter before opening the monitor cover to investigate any blown capacitors. My hunch was correct as this power adapter gave my old monitor a new life. It was packaged well and the build quality is pretty good for its price.EDIT(Sept. 2021): 10 months later, the adapter has become extremely hot. It almost burned my hands. I measured the adapter external temp. and it came out to be 149.4 F. AFAIK, that temp. will lead to a 3rd-degree burn. It's just a matter of time before this adapter will fail due to extreme heat.

Was going to this in a project but never worked. No light on unit when plugged in, no voltage out. Tested with a different power cord, nothing.EDIT:After opening the unit up, traces of corrosion on the PCB and the ground is not connected to any part of the board.DO NOT BUY

Well, I'm sure the adapter works well, but I can't use it because it was missing the adapter with the wire terminals. I cannot use it without this part and this was the main reason I chose this adapter.

I refurbish computers to give to under privileged students. I must keep the cost down. I needed this power supply and it worked well while I had it. I gave this a 4 star as I didn't have it long enough to justify giving it a 5 star.
