Prepworks by Progressive Measuring Pepper Mill Grinder, Salt, Spice

If you are looking for a pepper mill that grinds and produces bigger coarse pieces (and not so fine) this does a way better than the OXO Good Grips Pepper Mill. I was debating whether to buy this one or the OXO Good Grips Pepper Mill as the prices were similar. So I bought both of them to test them out and my husband and I both agree this is the better if you're looking to grind coarser fresh peppers. We also like this as it's more stylish, feels heavy like a better quality product vs. plastic. The setting can be set so finer peppers are produced but we prefer the bigger crunchy taste and feel.

This grinder works really well and I think it will last a long time. I've had so many problems with grinders the last few years. I'm glad to finally get a good one. The design is quite ingenious for getting specific quantities of pepper, though I usually just shake it out the side into my palm and sprinkle it from there. I'm an improvisational cook.

I like this grinder. I bought some coarse Himalayan pink salt and wanted to make sure I had something to grind the coarser particles. This does the job and I like the measure attachment at the bottom. Only issue is the salt can tend to stick in the bottom container. This is a minor issue and I can bang most of it out if it sticks

Grinder is a nice design and has a measuring cup built into it. I've seen some reviews that say the measuring cup comes off too easy. Mine screws on and I've had no problems with it.The grinder works well and is easy to fill. I would recommend this to friends if I had any.

I have to work way too hard to grind very little pepper and it comes out very fine. I wish it was adjustable. It's also too big and very ugly. I'll probably throw it away and get the oxo one.

Fine is not very fine, and you need to set the grinder flat on the counter when grinding, unless you're holding it over the food, because otherwise the pepper will fly out the slot. But it's easy to use, the measuring feature is great. I give up on finding a fine grind, though, and bought some ground pepper for cooking. UPDATE: I've only used this four or five times and the setting no longer works. Everything comes out coarse.

This is not really the best grinder to have for long term use and if you cook alot. After about a month or two of use it does not grind up the peppercorns as well as it did when it was first used. And I think it has to do with the fact that the part which is grinding is made of plastic And well all knew what happens to plastic. So if you are looking for something with a longer span go with some thing with a metal grinder not plastic.

Just got today, in middle of making a recipe requiring 2 tsp of ground pepper. I use a 5-pepper mixture of seed, which has various sizes of peppercorns depending on type. This was so easy to fill, sit for 'fine' according to mark on top, applied bottom measuring cup and in less then a min I had perfect fine ground pepper. ground thru seeds like crazy. Large capacity. I highly recommend for people who take their ground pepper seriously!
