This. Is. Hilarious. I bought this for my Min Pin. It was great! The wig did not stay on for long but that's because the dog can't stand to have anything on her head. The wig has a nice elastic strap to keep it in place. It wasn't very snug on my dog but it kept the wig on long enough for me to take some pictures. The dress is like a bib that just hangs down the front of the dog and is held in place by a strap that goes around the neck, like a collar. So you only get the effect when you veiw the dog from the front. She tripped on it a little bit at first but what girl doesn't stumble on the hem of her first dress at least a few times? The pictures of my dog in this costume crack me up every time I see them.

I should have listened to the reviews. My dog usually wears a large. I did order one size down but it was still too long. I have a pug. I ended up literally cutting off half of the costume so that she could wear it long enough to get a picture. The strap for the wig broke with one shake of her head.After sewing the strap back to the wig and cutting the costume in half I was able to take a decent picture. The costume just straps around the neck. My dog still kept tripping on it. It really was a waste of money. She wasn't able to wear it Halloween. It would not stay on.

The outfit is great and the hair is hysterical.Not sure if my dog will wear it as it is basically a rubber band that goes around her head to hold it on, but I think I can attach it with some bobby pins.Outfit is based really on height of dog. I have a standard poodle, but because she is tall (yet only weighs 50 lbs) she needed the extra large. Normally I would assume a standard poodle would be a large.I wish there was a dog in the basket - but I will put one in for Halloween myself.

For Ginger, my basset hound, the costume needed to be adapted. The dress was a base that was altered to fit around the body by adding velcro calico straps. A basket attached around her waist with a Beany-Baby Basset (for To-To) completed the outfit. The crowning touch was the auburn wig with braids. As Dorothy, Ginger won a best-costume third prize at the annual Waddle for Guardian Angel Basset Rescue.

I gave it 1 star on account of the picture on line. If you don't look too close, it looks like a pretty good costume. My wife picked this costume for our pet to go along with her brothers Scarecrow costume for Halloween, (different maker and type of costume). She was totally disappointed with it when she put it on the dog. With the fake arms and dress shoulders, it looked very tacky. She ended up adding material to the dress to wrap around the dog, to fully enclose the dog's body like a skirt and removing the arms. She put leg holes in it for the front legs of our dog to make them, the arms. While, after all the work, it did look a little better, it still wasn't as good as the other costume we bought for her brother. Any costume that hangs on just the front of the dog isn't very good, unless you're able to carry the dog in a back-reclined position, the entire time. Avoid this costume at all costs.

This is the most adorable costume that anyone could ever buy to put on their dog! The front was long so it made it difficult for her to walk, but we carry her when out on Halloween night to protect her from any other dogs that we may not see in the dark anyway. The wig is HYSTERICAL, but does not stay on very well.
