Useful but cumbersome at times
I am convinced that my MacBook will do anything to be a pain in the neck... This doc is a bit sketchy but when you can get it to work it is extremely nice to have.. the DisplayPort and HDMI ports are very useful and it does a fair job of high-speed data transfers over USB thing is though, thunderbolt 2 does in fact support simultaneous data transfers over USB at the same time as sending display data.. they cut corners and costs on the guts in this thing, by requiring you to have to plug in a USB 3 cable in order to use the USB ports.. but again, it is still extremely useful.. especially when you have a piece of crap Macintosh.

Only one display port works at a time
Love the usability aspect. Although it is mentioned in the description, only one display port works at a time. This is not clearly highlighted.

Misleading title - NOT Thunderbolt 2 hub (just a USB hub with MiniDP video pass-through)
Bought this wanting to use the Thunderbolt 2 to connect to USB drives. However I missed the fine print in the description saying it's NOT a Thunderbolt2 hub, but just a USB/ethernet hub with MiniDP for display. The title is extremely misleading as it has NO THUNDERBOLT 2 CAPABILITY at all! It's essentially a USB hub!since I bought an "open box" purchase for about 50% off, I'm trying to decide if it's worth returning both the USB hub and the power supply I separately purchased. If I wanted just a powered USB hub, there are others with more USB connection capability (my MBP already has a miniDP, HDMI and TB2-RJ45 adapter so only benefit is splitting single USB3 port on the laptop into 2 USB3)

It Just Works
Can only comment on the following setup:Using this with a MacBook Air 2014 - connecting Ethernet, HDMI for a second monitor and an External Microphone. The setup is for a Training Company delivering virtual training sessions. The SIG Dock - simply works - plug and play and no configuration necessary! To obtain the above setup you need to connect BOTH the SIG Mini Display Port cable and the USB cable to get the setup to work. In this configuration the Ethernet is run through the USB Port.Purchase was easy. We were happy with the price. Delivery was prompt and ahead of what was expected.
