Shockingly good
I cycle. A lot. 3-5k cycle commute per year, rain/shine/heat/cold. I have always looked 'askance' at such blingy gizmos as these alloy pulleys. But reading reviews, and with my old plastic pulleys being rather worn, I decided to give 'em a whirl. They fit perfect, look cool, are dead silent, and IMPROVE SHIFTING. This was unexpected. They hold the chain more precisely than the OE plastic wheels ever did, and make shifting noticeably sharper. This is old high-end Sram X0 10-spd drivetrain and it's never been better. I've run 'em close to a thousand miles and the difference still surprises me. Recommended. If/when the get worn I'll get another pair.

Now: They work great. (Was: Looks good, but grabbing the chain.)
Update: The seller contacted me and said they had revised the jockey wheels, and wanted to send me a new set that would work. I said "sounds good", and they arrived last week. I installed them and took my first ride yesterday. They worked great. Nice looking, quiet and no chain suck. The bearings seem to come dry (dryish?) so make sure you get some lube in there before you install them. Otherwise, I'm very happy and good job on the sellers part to reach out and make it right. Rating revised to 4 stars. -------------------- Update: I found another review here, with a video, and the guy had the same problem as me. These are NOT compatible with narrow chains on high count cassettes (in my case a 9x). The seller should make this clear. Down to one star. -------------------- I bought these about a year ago and finally just installed them. They look great and the quality seems good, but they're grabbing the chain as it goes by, so I put my old ones back on. I just rebuilt the drivetrain, so the chain is brand new. Maybe they'd wear into the chain if I gave them a short ride, but I don't want to risk damaging the new chain doing that. There are a lot of good reviews here, so I'm unsure why I'm having a problem. I have a Shimano 3x9 gearing mountain bike. Maybe with narrower chains (for use in 9 wide cassettes), this part is too wide and jams into the chain. Anyhow, beware.

Smoooth
Fits Ultegra 10 speed. Nice smooth movement of the wheels. Looks good. Note that I ordered the black which is shown to have red centers but is entirely black. Would have liked the bling effect but mechanically does very well which should be most important.

Great upgrade!
Peerfect inexpensive replacement for worn and sticky jockey pulleys. I have installed them on my wife's e-Cat recumbent with very positive results - in my opinion a very appropriate upgrade to compensate for the additional ebike torque on the derailleur.

Alum vs plastic, uses a real precision bearing vs a bushing, nice color selection
fit great with the two optional diameter sleeves to fit properly around the existing screw Very smooth operating with a real precision sealed bearing. The optional colors allow the color to more closely match your bike, looks great

Noisy aftermarket jockey pulleys for Shimano 105 12-speed Di2 โ shallower than OEM
Title: Noisy aftermarket jockey pulleys for Shimano 105 12-speed Di2 โ shallower than OEM I purchased these aftermarket jockey wheels (guide and tension pulleys) as replacements for my Shimano 105 Di2 RD-R7100 12-speed rear derailleur. They installed easily enough, but they fall short compared to the original Shimano pulleys. Main issues: โข These pulleys are noticeably shallower (shallower groove/tooth depth) than the genuine Shimano Y3JU98030 set. This causes the chain to pop, skip, or rub at extreme high and low derailleur angles/cable positions, especially under load or when shifting across the cassette. โข Noisy operation โ constant clicking, rattling, or rubbing sounds, particularly noticeable at higher cadences or when the derailleur is at the extremes of its travel. The stock 105 Di2 pulleys are much quieter and smoother. The aftermarket ones might save a few bucks, but they compromise the crisp, quiet performance that makes the 105 Di2 groupset so enjoyable. Iโve gone back to OEM and the difference is clear: better chain retention, no popping, and silent operation. Pros: โข Affordable โข Fit the derailleur cage without modification Cons: โข Shallower profile than Shimano originals โข Noisy and prone to chain pop at extreme angles โข Noticeable downgrade in smoothness and quietness I do not recommend these if you value the refined ride of your 105 Di2. Spend the extra for genuine Shimano pulleys or a reputable brand that properly matches the OEM dimensions. Would not buy again

Made My Drive Train Like New
I have a Specialized Turbo Vado SL4 with just under 9000 miles on it. I live in the Denver Metro area so almost any ride has a climb and puts the drive train under stress. The bike has a SRAM NX mech and it came with the standard oiled bronze sleeves in the jockey wheels. Over the last few hundred miles, shifts became a bit less clean and even with a clean, newly waxed chain, the drive was not silent when the motor was off, which is most of the time. I found these jockey wheels with sealed bearings and installed them about 300 miles ago. Shifts immediately became like when the bike was new and even with 150 miles on the chain, the drive is silent again. I think the shifting was improved because the wheels have almost no wobble. Certainly, compared to the sleeved bearings, it's a huge improvement. I'll have to see what the longevity is, but at this price, if I get 2500 miles out of them (a typical 9 month season), I'll be very happy.
