I totally dislike what I find so far in the "civilian" market where all I see are around the same size notebooks but they have the metal spirals. Those spirals get caught and scratch things. I remembered the ones I had while in the military were bound without the spiral metal and they held up. I will re-order in the future once these are used up. I use them for just what they are intended quick notes on whatever is happening as they are small but very useful for jotting notes.

Same ones we had in the Army years ago! Perfect size to take notes on the run and fits in your back pocket. I used to carry mine in my right front lower BDU pocket back in the day. I just needed something to take notes during a training class and these are just right.

Same as we used in the Navy everyday. These are tough note pads that you can carry everyday. I still have some I filled out over a decade ago while on active duty. They might not be totally water proof but will stand up to most anything. Would definitely recommend.
