DeWalt DWHT16063 4-Piece Chrome Carbon-Steel Wood Chisel Set, Bi-Material Handle

I’ve been using the DeWalt Hand Chisel Set for a while now, and it’s been a solid addition to my bench. In fact, just about every tool, I purchase is a Dewalt, you can’t go wrong. The chisels are extremely sharp and hold their edge well, making clean, precise cuts easy. The handles feels great and easy to use. If you're looking for quality chisels that perform well, I definitely recommend this set!

After using a set of chisels for 40-50 years that refused to be sharpened anymore, I bought this bargain set rather than spend $150 on 4 new ones. I shouldn't never have doubted DeWalt. These chisels are top of-the-line, precision sharpened, and have handles that feel comfortably. So they worked well with my job of cutting old cracked caulk, which is harder than many woods, out of my crown molding.

These chisels are nice and hardened, perfect for your woodworking all day long.

The flatness, sharpness, ease of adaptable functionality, and compact size give you a handy tool that is functional when it comes to resizing, fitting, molding and twisting things like removing silicone improperly used as a door sweep or twisting out a stuck sink stopper or bending and banging with the flat ends of some small underside, barely adequate braces for a sink tub to be held in a precarious alignment. The value was there. The chisels were all easily stored after use.

So far, a bit disappointed. Just received these today. The cutting edges were not 'finely polished' and the 1/2" one had some grooves in the cutting edge that will take some time to smooth out. The rest, the handles are nice and comfortable, rubber and plastic. It appears the 'tang' goes through the handle to support a mallet hammering. The holder is kinda cheezy, One needs to 'hammer' the restraints down to secure them, but I can work around that easily enough. Haven't tested the flatness of the backs yet which is a major issue with chisels.

I purchased these to do some simple work on the door frame and it made the job very easy and painless. The quality of the tools gave me the impression that they were worth the investment. The cutting edge was properly sharpened and worked flawlessly. Cutting into the wood felt like butter. Keeping these in the tool box.

This set came in a plastic device to keep the tips protected and secure. There was a bit of flashing on the back side of each chisel which was easily removed leaving a nice sharp chisel.
