Wonderful Player
Plays the radio, Bluetooth (extremely easy and available to connect quickly), records, CD's and Tapes! All in one. It's very big and has a big presence In a room. I love how it looks. Victrola has such a vibe and aesthetic. I never tire looking at it's design. I enjoyed a prior review on this which I will repeat but with brevity: If you are some kind of deep sound quality guru who has strong opinions about perfect pitch and sound then you shouldn't be shopping on Amazon. Any reasonable person will absolutely love this multi-medium player. It's so gorgeous to look at and absolutely delivers good sound. I am a regular person who will read reviews because I look at the aggregate feedback of others to help me feel comfortable with a purchase. I would never steer you wrong. If you are already reading reviews and looking at this player, buy it. You will enjoy this. I know I am loving it.

A Simple Nostalgia Piece that Warms the Home: Empire Music Center Review
Before I delve into my thoughts about this product, it's important for potential buyers to recognize exactly what they're investing in. Based on some of the mixed feedback, it seems there may be a bit of confusion regarding the sound quality expectations. Many seem to have prioritized affordability over specific audio needs. Here's the lowdown: this is a plug-and-play record player equipped with a turntable, in the most general sense. It's not a high-fidelity turntable designed for audiophiles or vinyl collectors seeking the precise acoustic fidelity offered by brands like Sonos. If you're deeply invested in the vinyl culture and sound quality, you probably wouldn't be browsing Amazon for a turntable. Your tastes would draw you toward specialized brands such as HOUSE OF MARLEY, WRENSILVA, BDI, ANDOVER, or high-end VICTORLA. Having cleared that up, let me tell you why I adore this record player. Since I was young, I've cherished owning a simple, portable record player—the kind that joyfully spun records like 'The Wiz' and 'Grease.' To me, the Empire model is a delightful step up from my previous Victrola Journey player. The design captivates me with its nostalgic charm and elegant aesthetic. For context, I didn't buy this for its ability to compete with an amplifier or subwoofer. Rather, I was drawn to its dual purpose: firstly, as a practical, no-fuss record player, and secondly, for its timeless, vintage allure. In my view, this player hits all the right notes for creating ambiance. It's an all-inclusive music center that doesn't just play tunes—it also becomes a focal point that sparks conversations during get-togethers. So far, I haven't experienced any issues with skipping or sound quality, though I don't intend it for daily heavy use. This record player shines during special occasions, adding a layer of auditory charm. To potential buyers who are casual music enthusiasts looking for an item that merges function with style, this might be the perfect addition to your home. It's designed to provide a backdrop of music for your life's moments—not to dissect the nuances of sound but to envelop you in warmth and nostalgia.

Empire Victrola is awesome! Great size, system and sound!
If you are looking for an all inclusive record player for your treasured albums, CDs, cassette tapes, and Bluetooth, aux and FM radio..look no further! I have had big set ups with the main turntable tower with the huge speaker towers too and for their time they were the set up, but this Empire is much nicer and takes up a lot less space. It’s just right in size at 19” wide x 15” deep x 8” tall. I am very happy with the sound. CDs sound great. Albums are rich in sound as well. I bought the black and gold model and it looks very attractive. I think you will be very happy with this multimedia center.

I absolutely LOVE this player, and it's totally worth the price.
To satisfy both types of review readers, here's both a super short review, and a thorough as possible review. SUPER SHORT REVIEW: I adore this thing. Everything works perfectly and it sounds wonderful, even before connecting it to external speakers. Loses just one star because of a few tiny cosmetic flaws as well as no true super low volume setting. Unless you're a REALLY uptight audiophile, it's totally worth the price, especially when it's on sale! _______ DETAILED REVIEW: I upgraded to this because my other player is a standalone portable turntable, and I have a CD collection that I haven't used in years and wanted to go back to. Having read through previous reviews, I was initially a little nervous about having chosen this particular model; seeing people talk about the needle skipping or saying that the build quality sucks and/or has anemic internal speakers. So when I got this, I was sort of bracing for what would come out of the box. I set it up on the little stand that you see in the photos and hooked everything in, including a nice external speaker system I use for my work computer (yes I tested the player with and without it, I'll get to that shortly). The instructions are in perfect English and easy to understand. There is a thin, loose wire that runs out the back of the player, which turned out to be the antenna for the radio (SO PLEASE DON'T MESS WITH IT). I flipped the surprisingly tactile-y satisfying power switch to the ON position, and everything powered up just as expected. I went through each of the modes (except AUX) to test, first trying out the turntable. The speed is just right and buttery smooth. The records were nice and level when spinning, and no, I did NOT need a coin to keep the tonearm from dancing about the player. I'm not sure why others have needed it, perhaps it was either a defective unit or user error, as I doubt very much the performance of mine is the outlier. I first tested it without external speakers. The internal bass is surprisingly good, and the overall sound is full and not hollow at all, albeit a little directionally pointed since there's no speakers on the side of the unit. But ya'll, I tried it with the external speaker system added, and MY GOD the sound is fantastic! The internal and external speakers work together to create this amazing surround sound effect, and the level of detail you can pick out within the sound is *chef's kiss*. I know what I just said will likely make certain audiophiles REALLY mad, as there's this prevailing belief that the only way to have the best sound experience is to spend a minimum of high hundreds if thousands on a system. While I consider myself an audiophile too, but if I'm being honest, at least when comparing this Empire model to super pricey setups I've experienced in the past, you're not missing THAT much in the way of sound quality. Besides, no one should bankrupt themselves on a sound system before even buying music for it. So, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The unit, for as wonderful as it is, it ain't perfect, for two reasons. The first thing is the volume knob. I think the volume adjustment is digital rather than analog, and for some reason, the space between the first and second notch is completely silent, as opposed to outputting a really soft level. The external speakers compensate for this, but it shouldn't have to in my opinion. The second reason is the trim. On the large surface areas of the unit, it feels very nice. But while I of course knew that the wood trim was fake, I was under the impression that the edges of the unit would be completely wrapped, which it's not. A lot of areas do this flat and rigged application like home builders use for cheap countertop lamination. Because of this, the edges make you feel like you have to be careful when brushing your fingers across them so's not to rip up the trim. As shown in the third photo, this application has also caused a couple of tiny splits and wrinkles. Thankfully, they're on the back and VERY tiny, so they're basically invisible at any distance further than 12 inches. I'm someone who baby's their belongings anyway, so I know it's going to look just fine for as long as I own it. Guys, trust me when I say I don't regret this purchase at all. I friggin LOVE it, and it's going to get many years of use.

Very Nice
This Victrola Empire 6 in 1 turntable is exactly what I expected based on the product description and majority of prior reviews. I absolutely love the retro look. While the sound quality is not what you would get from an expensive stereo system, it is very good for my main purpose of playing my old vinyl records again (they are not exactly in mint condition!) The tape player, FM radio, CD player, and headphone jack all work fine. I was easily able to connect with bluetooth on my phone to listen to Sirius XM or other streaming music. I've had no problems with any needle skipping while playing records. The only problem I've encountered was that the hole in the middle of the plastic spindle adapter to play 45's is a bit too large causing the record to wobble as it spins and consequently distorted sound. I swapped it for the spindle adapter from a cheap suitcase record player (NOT a Victrola) I bought a few years ago that recently quit working. Since this was an easy fix for me I didn't think it worth deducting a star in my review. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I've enjoyed listening to it every day since it was delivered.

Read carefully! Buy directly from Victrola, NOT Amazon!
Bought this for my dad for Father's Day. The sound is excellent, especially since he is hard of hearing. The record table looked really loose with a large gap, but still played once you figured out how. The knobs and dials are pretty cheap feeling, but whatever, we love the overall look. HOWEVER, the CD player did not work. I called Amazon support and I don't know if the rep had no idea what a record or a CD is...but I repeated multiped times that the record plays perfectly and the CD doesn't work, but their troubleshooting idea (even after consulting with a manager) was to "check the belt for why the table won't turn". I never said that the table wouldn't turn and had to explain yet again that the turntable/record works and CD's are digital...and do not need a belt to work! Then the rep tells me that this item was discontinued and I purchased a refurbished "Used-Good condition" item. I would never have purchased that and was looking very closely to make sure I got a new item when I purchased because I didn't want something refurbished. When I became irate, he then said he could offer me a full refund which should post to my card in 3-5 business days and I could drop off the return at UPS. I informed him I no longer had the original packaging so I asked that the instructions be for UPS to package. He confirmed all of these things would happen. After the call, my QR code states that *I* must package and label the item and that a refund would be issued when they receive it. I then came back to this page, where lo and behold, a bunch of the item were in stock...BRAND NEW! I had paid $99.00 at the time for mine, and now they are charging $165! For something that was supposedly discontinued and used/refurbished only. I then went to Victrola's website, and the very first image on the page is this item, on sale for $129. and for first time customers, a 10% discount. I was able to purchase a BRAND NEW item from the manufacturer for $125. Be careful what you buy and when you have the chance to purchase direct from the company, do it! Amazon will cheat you where it can.

Great upgrade from an older model
Love the versatility of having one to play all the different collections of music I own. I had an earlier model of this but it was an 8-in-1. Only lasted a few years of heavy usage and a few moves. They’ve improved on the style. I love the classic look of this one better than the last. It honestly sounds better than the older one. Hopefully it will last, I will update in time to see if they’ve improved on their quality. Easy to set up and use, great value.

We LOVE this
We got this to go with our new credenza and it fit perfectly. Cannot comment on the vinyl record player as we haven’t tried that function. Our primary use is Bluetooth and CD player, both of which worked without issue. Pleased with the sound quality, volume level, and appearance.

Excelente producto.
