Unbelievable price for a battery that works perfectly!
$15.99? That's an unbelievable price for a battery that works well. Spring is the time of year for every fair-weather motorcyclist here in the land of rainy winters (Pacific Northwest) to realize that once again, he failed not only to put his motorcycle battery on the float charger last October, but also to dutifully start the bike up every 2 weeks to keep the battery topped off. Oh, darn, says he, time for another $120 battery. That's what they get for the Yuasa equivalent, and that battery couldn't take a single season's worth of my world-class neglect. I'd better not bring that attitude to the tires! I'd much rather that be a $15.99 mistake than a $120 mistake. The battery's only been in the bike for a couple of weeks, so the jury's out on how long it lasts. Since I already know the Rolls Royce of YTZ-10S batteries (the Yuasa) fails after foolishly being allowed to drain to nothing over a winter, I promise not to ding you guys if your battery does the same thing with the same rough treatment. At this incredible bargain price, it's almost not worth the trouble to worry about it over the next winter. I could just buy a new one next March. Of course, then I'd have to remember to do that.

Lasted for 8 years in an Fz07
I purchased this battery Nov 10, 2017. At the time of writing this it is now Feb 19th 2026. That’s 8 years total. I’ve been using it in a Yamaha Fz07 with no fail until today the battery finally died. Which brings me to writing this review. 8 years of use in a street bike no hiccups for 17 bucks at the time of purchase.

Hands down best bang for your buck!
I gotta say I was really hesitant on purchasing these batteries I've always been a firm believer in" you get what you pay for"... boy was I wrong this time these batteries work awesome I purchase two for both of my Raptors and they haven't let me down they have plenty of cranking power... before I was spending between $40 and $50 per battery at Walmart.. I got two batteries for less than I would have paid for one... great product and great warranty... I told all my friends about upstart battery and they will be purchasing their batteries from you guys now also... thanks so much

Good price. Needs replacement every year though.
Update: The battery died after 14 months. It was always on a trickle charger too. Good price but you’ll need to buy one every year. Original: So far my 2007 Honda CBR600RR has been running great with this battery.

Great battery for 2005 Honda CBR1000RR....but poor packing results in -1 star.
**UPDATE - July 16, 2018 -- Three months since installing the battery, and it's still going strong! I don't ride much when it's 110 degree outside in Arizona, and I keep my bike plugged in to a battery tender when it's parked, but so far, so good. Here's my original review below -- I have a 2005 Honda CBR1000RR which I have owned since 2006. I live in Arizona where most batteries last two years (or less) due to the heat. My previous battery (from Autozone) died after around 18 months, and I wasn't in the mood to drop another $80-100 on a top-of-the-line battery as I have used them in the past and they died about as quickly as the generic ones. This is probably the 6th battery I've installed in my bike over the last 12 years, so I started looking for other options and was surprised to find this super-cheap $15 batt here on Amazon. I know there are lots of "battery snobs" out there who claim they only trust the #1 most expensive brands and they would NEVER put something so cheap into their bikes. Well, given the short life span of ALL batteries here in AZ, I just don't think it's worth spending $100+ on something that you know is going to have a short life span. Anyway, the battery arrived a few days ago, and so far here are the pros/cons: PROs: -- Price! Hard to believe you can buy a battery this cheap, but hey, it works! -- Battery arrived fully charged (or close to it) -- Fit was perfect for my bike. I have used many other batteries over the years, and some were slightly too tall or had other fitment issues. Not this one -- it dropped perfectly into place and had no issues with fit. -- Quality -- given the price you would expect this to look and feel like junk. Although it was slightly lighter than my old battery, it feels solid enough. At the end of the day, all that really matters is that when I push the start button, my bike cranks over quickly and starts easily. CONs: -- Terrible packaging. My battery arrived wrapped in a thin paper envelope with minimal padding. Given the lack of protection, it was not surprising to see that one of the terminals was bent upon arrival (looks like the battery was dropped on that corner). Of course, battery terminals are made from soft lead, so it wasn't that difficult to bend the terminal back into shape. Once that was done, the battery seemed to operate normally. Ultimately, if this battery lasts a year, then it was a bargain. Any longer than a year and it's a STEAL! The battery was installed on April 13, 2018 and I will update this review when it stops working. It's a shame about the crappy packing, but for the price you really can't complain too much.

Happy customer
I rarely write reviews but thought my personal experience might help others. This battery was purchased to replace the OEM battery in my Honda EU3000is generator, which lasted about 5 years. This UpStart YTZ-10S-BS arrived sooner than advertised, fully charged and in good condition. It's the exact same dimensions as the old OEM battery and hooked right up with no problems or modifications needed. Generator cranked right up just like with the OEM battery. I don't know yet how long it will last but I'm hopeful that by keeping the charge topped off periodically it will last more than long enough. It won't have to last 5 years like the OEM did at this price.

Buyer Beware
This battery cost practically nothing.... and there is a reason for that. After just a few uses it stops working. We actually bought 2! The first one did the same thing but we thought it was the scooter. But alas no, it's the batteries. We contacted customer service and they refused to replace the battery without us paying for shipping to return the old one. (Which would have to be done through UPS, EXPENSIVE). The old saying "You get what you pay for" is really true, especially in this case.

If you don't use the ATV often id recommend putting it on a battery tender
Cheap, fast shipping, works as intended. If you don't use the ATV often id recommend putting it on a battery tender. Once these batteries get weak they really don't want to hold a charge properly again. Sad to say for the price I don't over-stress it. My local battery warehouse has the same ones on the shelf for $50-60... why?! Ill just order them here and save

The battery arrived in 3 business days, remote location. I installed the battery in my 2019 Honda eu3000is generator and it fits perfectly, maybe slightly smaller than the original. The generator started immediately. Very happy with the price and will try to remember to update this review after the summer or in a year from now.

Came charged at 12.8 volts. Took it up to 13.2V. Fits Eu3000i perfectly. So far so good.

June 2021 Update: Battery is starting to show signs of age and motorcycle is struggling to start. For the price, this battery cannot be beat. However, for only surviving 2 years (or two riding seasons) - the cost may begin to add up. The Genuine Yuasa batteries seem to last much longer. I even maintain batteries and trickle charge once a month during winter/off season. May purchase again, or might bite the bullet and just get a Yuasa. Aug 2019: Product has been working all summer and the battery has now been brought inside for the winters. Attached to the battery tender, it is still maintaining and holding a charge. Size and fit is fine for my 07 CBR 600RR. No issues and would buy again in the future. 4/5 stars only due to the quality of the battery connects. It's a little smaller than the Yuasa OEM ones, and the type of metal seems a bit on the cheap end. Luckily this came with new screws as well for battery connectors, as the Yuasa ones are too short/large. No issues aside from this minor quality complaint but for a fraction of the price, worth it.

Threw it in my 2007 Yamaha R6, and had no issues!

I had a terrible experience with this product and customer service. The battery I received is defective and does not provide the correct voltage, making it completely unusable. When I tried to return it, I was told I must call customer service. I’ve been calling repeatedly, and no one answers. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Selling faulty products is bad enough, but ignoring customers when they try to resolve the issue is even worse. I do NOT recommend buying from this seller.
