I am considering purchasing few more. The frog is unbelievable for the price. It's beautifully carved, detailed, beautifully finished instrument. The frog is large and it feels great in hands-not flimsy, not toy like. The sound is unbelievable, deeper than smaller frogs I have.Great instrument, great visual detail for interior, it's a win-win all around. I am super excited about this purchase. Hopefully you'll like it too.

Feels well made with deep sound
I had one of these in my parents house as I grew up so I’m happy to say that I’m very excited to have this particular frog instrument in my own home. Feels and looks well made and it sounds amazing too. I recommend the tan variant, that’s the one I got.

Great sound suitable for real music groups
I'm an actual pro musician. I teach music for wind instruments and sometimes percussion to young students. This Guiro (Frog) makes a great sound for latin music and equally great sound for simple sound effects. The kids LOVE this thing and can't get enough of it. I love it too. Properly played, it sounds like the bullfrogs down at the pond on a summer evening in the South. Craftsmanship could be better if your purpose was to display art, but it's very good if your purpose is to make MUSIC.

Great frog!
The sound is great! My only issue is that it was so recently stained the dark brown that when I opened it, it smelled like wood stain and it was a little sticky, likely from being out in the heat. I felt like I had to wipe it down to get excess stain off before really being able to enjoy it.

So cute!
My daughter actually picked this out to give her brother for Christmas, they are both in their 20s and he’s a musician. This was a really cute percussion accessory instrument. Had a good sound and seems to be made well. My son likes getting unique instruments, so this fit the bill

I was really expecting it to be wood but it's a plastic that looks like wood.It still works for my 3-year-old grandson

We use this frog as a “dinner gong”!
Love this frog. It’s big enough to make a deep croaking sound when you run the wand thing along its back. We use it to tell everyone that dinner is ready and they can hear it wherever they are in the house.
