worked well. not as precision a cut as my previous oster stainless cryotech 78919-166

We have a male miniature poodle that we groom ourselves with a puppy cut (he's nine, but still seems like a puppy to us.) Being a guy, I don't care for the traditional poodle cut. This blade leaves the hair about the right length over most of the body and legs. All the Oster Cryogen-X blades that I've tried have been good quality. This blade is no exception. It's a nice compromise. It cuts the hair short enough to not need frequent cutting, but leaves it long enough to produce a nice appearance. This blade and the number 10 blade both easily remove the hair. However, the number 10 blade leaves him looking like a skinned rat. The dog doesn't care, but the wife does. The number 3 blade leaves the hair an attractive length, but is more difficult to push through any hair that is starting to get matted. Of the three blades that we use, numbers 3, 7F and 10, this blade is my favourite.

I have not use this blade yet. But have clipped dogs for many years and always buy Oster blades. I purchased two blades last time One size 5 Cryogen x- AglON elite and its been fantastic. takes any hair/fur and never clogs. The other blade I brought was a normal 7 Oster and it has never cuts, always sticks and you have to re- clean and slide blades which if you clip dogs this is a waste of time. And often it still doesnt work. So hope this blade works well. I will be returning if not due to it costing double. But heres hoping.I have now used this blade and its wonderful. It works!!!!

I haven't used it on my furkids yet but you can see and feel the quality of this product, I'm confident I will be using this blade for many years to groom my furkids. :)

Not sure if its the Oster clippers Im using or the blade itself. But it does not cut for very long. I have treated it, clean it right after every use, including brushing haurs loose, the blade cleaner and cooling spray prior to use. I use the included blade grease after cleaning, and yet i am not able to clip my entire dog without it getting so hot I have to stop. Some times my dog needs 2 days to be clipped completely. He is a large breed (giant schnauzer), thick hair. However I thought i should be able to clip him all in one shot without stopping. Not the case. Once hot, the blades stop cutting, just pulling his hair out. When the blades are cool, they work well.
