I was concerned when the box can and the pillow was forced to fit, however that did not effect the pillow at all. It popped right into shape when I took it out and it was super soft. My 6 year old loved it! The size is also great, its about the size of a large couch decorative pillow so she sleeps and snuggles with it comfortably.
