Heavy and solid. Very happy with the griddle.
Love this griddle. It's heavy weight to distribute heat more evenly. Very large and has a tiny lip around the edge to keep grease, etc. inside, but not so high as to interfere with turning pancakes and such.

Cooked great cheese sandwiches 🥪.
Love the thin design that is lightweight and fits in a kitchen drawer.

Not sure it’s really sturdy
But not sure I’ll like it bc the bottom is flimsy metal that makes me think it will fall apartThe picture on line showed a black plastic bottom but is a steel flimsy movable bottom may be good maybe not . A bit cautioned to use it

So big!
Love the size of this griddle! It cooks and cleans up nicely. Only slight issue is that it's hottest where the heat element is so I do end up having to rotate food in order to cook evenly.

Really nice griddle, and Huge- yet compact.
This griddle has a huge cooking area, but the lack of big handles and stuff and the low height keeps it surprisingly compact. Most of its area is working space. Very nice finish on the cooking surface.Heating test- I set it for 375, timed, and checked the heat with a laser. Working temp took only 5-6 minutes to reach. Variations in temp across the surface were fairly wide until it reached the working point. After that, variations leveled out; were plus or minus 10 degrees. That is normal as well, with most good grills. No distortion or warp with heat either. It sits close to the countertop, but the heat underneath the grill was not enough to be a concern. The only thing worth noting from the initial test is that the actual temperature runs hotter than the thermostat setting. I found that the 300/325 setting produces the 375 I wanted. This is a pretty typical characteristic of grills, once you know it, you adjust your set points.Overall, looks great. Love the big cooking area without a lot of extensions taking up more space. It's light even though the deck is quite solid, it will be easy to store as well. This replaces a previous Presto grill, which has served for more than 30 years, and still works fine. It's a keeper!

A huge electric griddle! It can definitely earn a space on your counter top. A great "one pot" way to cook a bunch of meals.
A huge electric griddle! This replaced a smaller Presto electric griddle that was about 10 years old. In our house, these things see use on average about twice per week. Both this model and the smaller one it replaced have fairly even heating. But the single circular heating element does not produce even heat across the entire surface on any of these electric griddles from any brand. With that said, the heating is consistent enough that these are perfectly usable for lots of different foods. I don't consider it an issue. On the upside, the simple design means there isn't a lot to break. Our old Presto was laid to rest because the plastic legs broke, not because the heating element or temp control quit. Likewise, we took good care of it and stored it carefully so, the non-stick coating was still in fine shape after 10 years. It was not chipped or scratched and we didn't use cooking oils on it so it never lost it's non-stick properties. This slimline model has about 50% more cooking surface and sits about a 1/2 inch lower so, it includes a metal heat shield below the heating element to prevent cooking your counter tops. There is less plastic (legs and handles) at the sides which I hope means there is less to break. I like the lower height for the ergonomics too. It feels more like part of the counter top rather than something sitting on top of it.I've found these electric griddles really useful. If you have friends over for a weekend, this will handle 12 pieces of french toast or 12 pancakes at a time so that everyone can eat together. Likewise, for a family of four, you can throw eggs and hash browns on at the same time along with some bacon. It will also handle 12 hamburgers or veggie burgers at once. We make black bean veggie burgers, eat some, and throw the rest in the freezer. Want fajitas? This can cook flank steak for 6 on one side and peppers and onions on the other. It can also become a warming tray for 2-3 corning-ware dishes in a buffet. If there is a downside, it is also the size. This thing is BIG. Any larger and it would be tough to get it in a sink to clean it. If you have a small kitchen, you may want to look at a smaller unit. You'll also need to have a pantry or closet to store this thing. It's too big for the average base cabinet. And you need to worry about protecting the non-stick surface. We stored the old one in its box and we do the same for this one. But that takes up considerable space.
