I have wood floors and an area rug and my grand-kids seemed to do alright pushing it on the rug. It is a little harder going from floor to rug. This is a really sturdy cart and made so it will not tip over easy. My grand-kids love it. **Q: Real shopping...can you put a gallon of milk in it and room for a "couple" of more items? Thank you.** A: Sure can! Once you put the milk in the cart theres a little room for more items but not a lot. Its like 10 1/2 inches deep and 12 inches long. **Q: Does it tip when pushed? I used to have a plastic cart about 5 years ago and when my son pushed it, it would tip. Is this sturdy?** A: This tipped the first time my daughter used it. Pulling on any of the sides will tip it over easily. Mi sobrino tiene 2 años y el tamaño es perfecto para él, las ruedas se ven muy durables y no deslizan tanto como para que el niño pueda tener un accidente pero tampoco se atoran ni son muy duras para que avance, tienen un deslizamiento óptimo. Las tres patitas extra no tocan el piso, creo que son únicamente con la función de evitar accidentes.
