Broken nail fix
It worked I had a bit of trouble citing it down to the size I needed. I took a chunk out of the center of my nail. So it was a hole. Super glue worked best with the wrap. Lasted about 2-3 days. I am very rough on my nails for my job.

Peels off easily
This silk nail wrap is not a good product. It peels off as if there was no glue ( and trust me, there was) on it. I would never buy this again.

Fixed my natural nail
I use this to fix my natural nail when it starts to break, which because I'm hard on my nails, happens a lot. Keeps me from having to cut it down and having one short fingernail! I also used to smooth out a nail that has a permanent defect from fake nails used years ago. I cut this a bit larger than needed, I trim the repair piece to have rounded edges. I apply the sticky side to my nail, then apply 1 or two drops of nail glue (not the gel glue type) let dry, then using a very gentle weight nail buffer, buff till smooth. After using my gel polish (I also use a light coat of builder gel) you can't tell I've repaired the break. By using a non removable nail glue, I can remove my gel polish, without removing the repair. Holds up extremely well till the broke area grows out. Definitely recommend.

NOT for use with traditional nail polish!
This silk wrap really works well but ONLY if you’re using gel polish, or maybe acrylic or dip powder. Standard/traditional nail polish, the kind that doesn’t need a uv light to cure, just won’t work - the silk wrap will be bumpy and visible and will peel off easily, even under a base coat + color + top coat. I tried under a uv cured gel base coat and it became completely seamless and could be easily filed. So unless you have the equipment and experience to use gel/dip/acrylic then this isn’t the product for you. It’s probably five stars for use with the correct products but as there are essentially no instructions on the packaging or the listing (aside from one vague picture with them using a uv lamp) then at most 3 stars.

The adhesive DOES NOT STICK AT ALL FOR ME BUT......
So the adhesive does not work at all for me so for that that’s a 2 star rating. However, I gave this 4 stars. Why? My big toe does not have any nail. When I use the fiberglass silk wrap, I draw out my nail shape and cut and still peel off to reveal the adhesive even though it does not work. When I put it down and and use the gel base and uv to dry it becomes hard like using acrylic and then I use a hand file to shape up. I am probably not suppose to do it since I have no nails but it’s what’s carrying me through the summer until it grows back. Once I file to desire shape I put a second coat of the base, then I use the gel color uv light and put the top coat then up light. This stayed on my toe for 3 weeks until I took it off it did not come off. It got wet and weather the storm and I’m surprised it stayed on by only using the gel nail polish. So although the adhesive does not work the wrap is very strong.

Thick
It definitely helped repair my broken nail but it was hard to use, kept moving around and wouldn’t lay flat on my nail bed. And once I topped it off it was very thick!! And doesn’t file easily

Remove paper back from silk wrap before use
Worked perfectly, I had a Crack to middle of my nail, This covered it completely. This silk wrap, does have a paper backing on it, you need to cut to desired length. Then measure to your nail. Then remove the paper backing from the silk wrap. It will stick to your nail. I found it was little easier to trim and file, after I cured and did my nails in gel polish. Helps with the silk wrap fraying.

Long lasting
stays put til your next manicure. I cut to fit first. Then put a coat of clear then put silk down and covered with polish. Great price too.

I applied the fiberglass silk wrap to clean and dry nails (two nails) and it did not stick. I had to apply nail glue to get it to stick. After I got it to stick, I had to apply multiple coats of nail polish to hide the fiberglass wrap. So far it is working. The fiberglass wraps seem to be strong enough to be able to hold the nail together.
