Yea, why not?
I put this on a 7.5" budget friendly, back seat pistol build. It's met my middle of the road expectations. Adjustments are so so, but 4 shots @50 yds got it there. 200 later and it's holding well. No real complaints.

Gets the job done without costing a fortune
To be honest, I'm not much of a Red Dot shooter...most of the shooting I do is either skeet, handguns with iron sights, or really long-range competitive shooting where a high-power scope is needed. Still, for a while, I've wanted to try a red dot and just play around at short range to see what I can hit. What's held me back so far is that the better quality sights from Vortex, Sig, Trijicon and so forth seem to start at $300-500 and go up from there, so I really haven't been able to justify making the investment.I was therefore eager to try this much more modest sight...it seemed to promise most of the utility and performance of "the big guys" at an incredibly bargain price - and that's exactly what I found. I was really impressed by this little five-ounce sight that did everything I expected of it.Construction quality is better than I expected at this price point...the fit and finish all the way around is quite good, and it feels quite solid in your hand. The optics are clear, the lighting is flexible, and I really couldn't find anything at all to complain about.I ended up testing it on my Christiansen Arms CA-15 G2. This is a very lightweight rifle, and sometimes I feel like I ruin it by making it wear a heavy scope. The HIRAM red dot was easy to attach, though I noticed it would be off by 3-4 MOA if you dismounted and remounted it. I did the crude adjustments with a bore sight, and with a little fiddling, it went from about six inches off the target to perfect...three shots and I had it perfectly aligned. If you're like me and used to a scope, it was really an eye-opening experience using a red dot. I wasn't sure what to expect, but using the red dot at 50 yards, I found I had no trouble getting about one-inch groupings...not as good as I can do with a scope, but I can probably put 10 shots on the target faster with the red dot in the time it takes me to do 1-2 with my fancy scope.Certainly, if you're shooting at distances under 100 yards and you value quick target acquisition, lightweight and so forth, then the HIRAM red dot might be just what you're looking for, and at only a small fraction of the price of the fancy products from the big-name competition.

Great Red Dot
This is an awesome sight. It is a perfect size in my opinion. I’ve had others in the past that were too bulky, but this one is just right. I really like that this sight comes with a riser. The sight stands pretty tall when mounted with the riser but that is perfect for me since I use this for airsoft. The riser gets the sight high enough that I can still get a normal sight picture even while wearing my airsoft mask. Often times airsoft masks are bulky enough that you cannot get your face low enough to use your sights, but that’s not an issue with this red dot. The dot appears crisp and precise and the 11 power settings are perfect for setting it just right no matter the light conditions you’re in. The elevation and windage turrets work well and the 1moa adjustment clicks are perfect since airsoft is not a precision sport. For a precision setup I would recommend something with 1/4moa adjustments. The adjustment turrets are raised up high, which makes it easy to adjust them with a screw driver, pocket knife, coin, or even just your finger nail. Many other sight turrets are hard to adjust without a certain size of screw driver. These are easily adjusted without any specific tools. The sight has been working great so far and I am very happy with it. I would highly recommend this sight!
