There are lots of elements that make a good story. For me the ideal romance needs to have: humor, action, characters, with both good and bad qualities, lots of scorching sex, and a choice redeemable—AH HA, if you will, —moment. HEAs aren’t necessary, but if it happens in a way that compliments the story without too much cheese then that’s disco too.Well, let me tell you, my favorite author duo, Sloane and Celia ain’t laid no Mendoza Line with Cleat Catcher—more like an f-ing upper decker!! These two have managed to write yet another kick-ass story that not only gets you excited about smack talking dirty mouthed baseball hotties, but also hits you right in the feels.So what makes the Cleat Catcher Duet ( #1 and #2) so fantastic? Let me give ya a little backstory...First we have Evan and Braden, my favorite battery. The pitcher (Evan) and catcher’s (Braden) bromance is definitely one for the ages. The amount of loyalty and love that they have for each other has me all “BFF GOALS!” But don’t get things twisted. They’re not romantically involved…although that would be hawt on paper… they’re just best friends that happen to date Kyrie & Nikki—a couple of best-f'ing'-beotches—that are just as magical together as BREVAN (Yes I just shipped their baseball playin' a**es!). Seriously, Evan and Braden are each other's biggest fans and I'm ok with that.INFO BOMB: (Pitcher) Evan and (fashion mag editor) Kyrie hookup in Cleat Chaser; Cleat Catcher features (catcher) Braden and (Kyrie's editorial assistant) Nikki’s story.Cleat Catcher picks up right where Cleat Chaser left off and let me tell you, the opening scene—hysterical! I mean, if you've ever tried to wax any of your lady bits yourself for the first time, you'll feel Nikki's pain!! As the story progresses, things heat up both on the field and in the bedroom.Nikki and Braden are so hot together it's fire. Also, there's plenty of sports action and commotion to keep the plot sufficiently guessy...but not so much that you feel like your reading some daytime drama.Evan and Kyrie are definitely supporting characters in this one and Kacey— and her fabulously foul mouth—is back. (Hide all the sexy kittens cause Kasey's on the prowl...) Damn, is she ever back. And just a hilariously naughty as before.Did I like it? Did I? In my opinion, there's storyline, sex, and cozy fuzzy feels in all the right places. I loved it. LOVED.It.

You may remember me mentioning that Cleat Chaser should be the beginning of copious amounts of books co-written by Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell. So, naturally when the announcement of Cleat Catcher came along, you would be right in saying that I was beyond ecstatic. Another opportunity to witness Howell and Aaron in their element; being consistently amused and unendingly entertained, there is no doubt Cleat Chaser will have readers laughing out loud from the cover to cover. Continuing to highlight their strengths when writing romance, humour and smut, Cleat Catcher serves as a perfect follow up for the series and even better conclusion.As baseball retains it’s heavy presence throughout the book, Cleat Catcher is about Ravens Catcher Braden Bradford and former Cleat Chaser, Nikki Graves. Already the first book of this series (Cleat Chaser) was one of the best books I've read regarding erotic romance. And towards the end of that book, I was hooked with the series and waiting with hope and yearning that there was a second book o the way.And then Cleat Catcher came. I don't know if I could choose which one is my favorite, but if the duo of writers was able to put together a so fabulous first book, then with the second they broke all records regarding comedy, romance, hot scenes, comradeship, and also with the jokes and pranks that although they are part of comedy, they should have a category / class of their own.I couldn't stop laughing with each character, many times prompting questions such as “what are you laughing at?” or “what's so funny?”. That's not even talking about the hot scenes. Braden and Nikki's chemestry was tangible. Who was not affected by that chemistry that goes beyond the pages of the book and leaves the reader without a breath in more than one occasion.I'm a person who always pays attention to the relationships between characters, and I can say that I loved the comradeship shown between Braden and Easton, Nikki and Kyrie, and also with Kasey.I think that like with the first book, while I read this one I was trying to picture Sloane and Celia exchanging ideas and such; and I was laughing so hard just trying to imagine how they came up with one scene or another. I hope the keep on co-writing. I love each book they've written, separately or jointly, that I've read (haven't gotten to read all of them yet). And I think that all of us want to see Kasey with her own story.This book and these authors are totally and highly recommendable to read.

Eu adorei Cleat Chaser , um romance engraçado, sexy e leve, e estava aguardando Cleat Catcher com ansiedade.E, olha, Cleat Catcher não decepcionou. Não é tão engraçado quanto o primeiro da série, mas diverte igualmente. Para quem leu o primeiro, a experiência pode ser mais completas pois os personagens e o contexto já são conhecidos, porém isso não impede a diversão dos "marinheiros de primeira viagem".O que eu não gostei: fica até difícil definir, mas creio que eu posso resumir em duas situações.Easton, de Cleat Chaser, é um personagem mais completo e bem desenvolvido e nisso ele teve a ajuda da irmã Kasey, que cuja participação em Cleat Chaser é hilária. Já em Cleat Catcher, os autores não foram tão felizes pois Kasey ficou muito vulgar, sua participação se resumindo a declarações quanto à sua opçâo se#ual..O segundo motivo foi no conflito inicial entre Nik e Braden. A situação toda me pareceu um pouco exagerada, típico recurso usado pelos autores ao aumentar o problema sem necessidade para criar um conflito desnecessário.No geral, eu gostei bastante de Cleat Chaser. Leve, engraçado e sem drama é certeza de diversão descompromissada.

Really enjoyed reading this book, loved the banter between the players and loved the dirty talk between Nikki and Braden. And seriously what a great deal, 2 books for the price of one, snap it up people its worth more then $1.

So much fun.....never have I wanted to be a dirty slut more in my life!!

Read ARC copy for review.I absolutely LOVED this second book keeps you HOOKED from first page til last , it follows on with great Humor and banter as always .This one follows mainly Braden & Nikki ,Braden has a lot to deal with while playing a game of baseball he makes the run but falls to his knee he hears it ” pop” and knows it could be bad he carries the burden of worrying if his career is going to end or keep going he heard he could possibly be transferred or cut from the team , he doesn’t share with Nikki but when she finds out she’s devastated he couldn’t trust her or worse didn’t care or want her to go with him if traded , but her career is just taking off also is it what she really wants ?They all have each other's backs and what I also love about these books is the sense of "true" friendship they'll all do anything for each other , and when the times for tough that's what they did and it couldn't have been any better , but guys be ready for this ending I had happy tears :) !Another GREAT book by Celia & Sloane well done guys ! The two of you have fastly become two of my new favourite authors since reading this series .
