Great Product...works amazingly fast for me!!
1. Why did I order this product? After much research for a product that addresses age spots (also known as liver spots) I ordered Sunspot ES. 2. What I like about this product? It is easy to apply. I use a q-tip with no problem and dab a little on the age spots. It does not have a bad odor. It is easily concealable under makeup. The cost is affordable. 3. What I donโt like about this product? It does sting a little and if you get it too close to your eyes, it can have a burning effect on the eyes. It feels more like a tingly-mint feeling. But for me, this goes away after 30 minutes. The gel can have a tendency to crystallize if not using it over a period of time and it seems to become less effective because of this. 4. How long did I use this product? I have used to product off and on through a 1 ยฝ year period. Sometimes I forget to use sun protection and I get new spots or sometimes the old ones will reappear. But Sunspot ES always removes them and gives me a more even complexion (not that I am vane) but I like to look my best. I used to put it on before bedtime in the beginning stages of using it, but I now apply it in the mornings so it does not get rubbed off during the night. This is my second tube to reorder. I have not used it for freckles, moles, warts, skin tags, or other skin problems. Nor have I used other products alongside this one. ***I have found that I cannot use this product every day or I will experience some irritation around the dark spot the more I try to exfoliate the dead cells. Waiting a few days allows some healing and natural peeling and detachment of cells to occur and lessens the irritation. 5. Comparison of similar products: I have used many skin lightening and balancing products without any effects. Some were messy, sticky, smelly, or not very safe for continued use. With Sunspot ES, I saw the spots being removed a layer at a time. 6. Pros: easy to apply no bad odor lightens dark spots does not take much product good price 7. Cons: the area can become darker before exfoliation occurs tingle, burning, or irritation can occur especially if you apply a large amount 8. Would I recommend? I would recommend this for any one with mild skin problems such as dark spots, sun spots, age spots, liver spots. (I did not receive compensation or a discount for my review)

Just Amazing!!
So I had this bump on the outskirts of my lip for the past year. During the Winter time it sort of went into recession, however once Spring started and I got some more sunburns the bump got bigger. I started to get worried and did some Googling. Upon my research I self diagnosed the nodule as Basal-cell carcinoma. This seemed to be a pretty accurate diagnoses and looked similar to all pictures I've seen. I began to think of treatments for my newly found skin cancer. My experiences in the past with ALL doctors including dermatologist have just been a pure robbery. In short, I found Sunspot Es on Amazon! With great reviews, I couldn't loose for only $30. At first, I tried this on a few moles on my extremities. I applied Sunspot with a Q-tip just on the dark spots of these moles several times a day. Yes, it burns, but only if your a big wuss. Anyways, after just 3 days my moles began to peel off!!! It was amazing. These dark hideous moles were completely gone! Usually this only occurs after a doctor has sliced my skin to pieces. This way was way less painful and way more effective (and cheaper)! Back to the Basal-cell carcinoma. I was skeptic, at first, when applying Sunspot to my lip (as it said not to), however I prevailed. Meticulously, I applied only to the effected area (about a pen tip size). It burned, but manageable. I applied it 2 times on one day, then once the following morning. To my surprise by midday the next day after my initial treatment the basal cell completely peeled off!!!! I now have beautiful clean skin in what used to be a gnarly bump! My lip seemed to handle the treatment just fine, although I was extra careful to not hit healthy skin. I am just doing a few cleanup treatments around the area to make sure all cancerous cells are dead! After my recent successes I am now applying this treatment to every mole I have since I have spent all 26 years of my life, shirtless at the beach every weekend, in the Sunshine State (Florida). I hope to have cleared my skin of all black moles and have clean looking skin in the near future. As an avid surfer I believe that all outdoor sportsman (and women) should have a tube of Sunspot Es in their medicine cabinets. Good ol' Ben Franklin had it right from the get go; "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Do you self a favor and get a tube of this. You will not regret it!!!!

it's a shame that the FDA won't allow the company to say what it is really good for - mild skin cancers
This is my second tube of Sunspot Es. I had such a positive outcome with the first tube a friend talked me out of it for her problem - thus I've purchased a second tube. it's a shame that the FDA won't allow the company to say what it is really good for - mild skin cancers. i'm serious. My own experience has been on my ankle with a basal cell carcinoma that the Dr. wanted to remove. I declined and tried this Sunspot. Es product. Other than some tingling and irritation, it worked like a charm over a period of 2 weeks. My husband had a nasty spot of keratoses on his cheek. It bled occasionally and just looked awful. He reluctantly tried the Sunspot Es and was so surprised to find it so effective. Because he didn't cover it with a bandage it took about a month for that spot to disappear. It is a wonderful product if used properly for kerotases, squamous cell or basal cell carcinomas. I knew that when a cancer is removed by conventional methods, much of the surrounding tissue is also damaged or destroyed, which is another reason I decided to use Sunspots because it is easy and effective and leaves no damage to the skin. I found that the best method is to put just a dab on the spot twice a day, covering it with a bandage. If it's on your face, however, I wouldn't bother with the bandage. Depending on the area you treat, you may experience a bit of irritation, especially on the face and legs. As a rule of thumb, if you do experience some irritation, cut back on the number of times it is applied each day. Over a few days, or perhaps a week or more, you will see that the lesion is turning color and beginning to slough off. Sometimes the area that sloughs off is larger than the size of the cancer, which means the cancer cells have spread to a larger area. Once the sloughing off takes place, the body begins growing new, cancer-free cells in the area, without scarring\ . I'm not in the medical world, i just read a lot and subscribe to many on-line medical sites. I would never jump into using anything just because i read it somewhere, but i have repeatedly read about the skin-positive effects of active glycoalkaloid complexes, which Sunspot Es has. And, because i know Lane Labs is a dependable company i decided to try their product. I'm so glad I did.

Effective if used regularly
I read a lot of reviews. The low ratings for product "not working" were deeply concerning, but I tried it. It's been about 6wks and I have definitely seen results! Melasma/chloasma afflicted me during my second pregnancy at age 33. It did not improve or fade post nursing as I had hoped. The hyperpigmentation was worse during my next pregnancy and it did not fade after the hormone drop of weaning. I tried quite a few topical agents found at Walmart and Rite Aid, then Amazon. Nothing really helped. Despite my disciplined regiment, my face looked like a map of Earth. Continents under my eyes, cheeks, along my temples & forehead. I HATED looking in the mirror without makeup. The Sunspot Es package really didn't have any application instructions (weird) but I read so many reviews about application frequency that I decided to go with twice a day. Yes, sometimes after applying it I felt a burning sensation, which depended upon how clean my face was before application (i.e. sometimes I used alcohol to clean in prep following a good exfoliation/scrub). "No pain, no gain" was my philosophy. Yes, it temporarily made the dark spots more noticeable as these areas were a bit red after application, but after a day it was back to normal. I got excited when there was some flaking after a few days. I used clear packing or scotch tape to remove the excess dead skin and there were some large discolored flakes. The skin underneath was noticeably lighter. I have done the "super clean/exfoliation before treatment" about once per week, then lighter (using less ointment) applications once a day until the flaking, then none during the dry/flake time. The spots started breaking up, and then fading, now some are gone all together leaving light "patches" that I have no doubt will eventually be gone as well. I will reorder this product and probably keep it on hand for the next decade as a prophylaxis.

Don't buy
The price doubled for no reason, so I will not repurchase. I bought this product three times. I think it helps a little on the surface, but nothing long term, and the spots come back if you stop use. Each and every time I had issues with the tube and ended up wasting product. One time I had the squeeze out the content is of a brand new tube ino another sealed container because the tube burst on the sides. The tube also cracked in places from normal use and product escaped out. This was all very frustrating because it was expensive even before they started price gouging. I'll never repurchase, even if their price comes down out of the clouds.

WOW!
I have a few sun/age spots that decided to surprise me in my early 40's. My friend had great success with a facial peel, but that was very costly - around $400. I suppose in truth, I probably would have gone that route if this hadn't worked from the get-go. It's not that I have a ton of sun spots, but the few I have are in very (at least to me) noticeable places. A few on my cheek, smack in the middle of my chest (above a v-neck t shirt line...), and 2 on my hand. All the size of a pea, and only about 6 in total. For me, NOTICEABLE! So after reading the reviews on this product, I figured I'd give it a shot. I received the tube yesterday (be prepared, it's very small - but a small dab goes a loooooong way!) and I started using it. I would highly recommend using a q-tip to apply... I applied it on the same areas a few times yesterday and what everyone else wrote is correct: It will dry out the area treated and sluff-off the discolored skin. For the ones that are deeper into the layers of skin, it will become darker before it becomes lighter. The one on my hand was closer to the surface and less deep and already I am seeing a difference. One of the ones on my cheek, which has been there for quite some time, is now darker than it was before - HOWEVER, it is smaller b/c part of it has sluffed off from one side. Needless to say, I am VERY happy with this purchase. I believe within a few weeks of continued use, all my spots will be gone :) and I will be much more diligent this summer with proper sunscreen!!! I only wish I had taken a picture of "before" & "after" to post with this!!!! Ugh! Again - This is just what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier! (If my review was helpful, let me know by clicking "yes" at the end of my review!)

Great Exfoliant and Acne Repair
Ok so I purchased this after watching The Truth About Cancer where this particular product was promoted to help the body rid itself of sun spots. I also read other reviews that it was a true pro in getting rid of sun spots in a week to a month. I have used this now for two weeks and had to stop briefly due to raw skin. I used a very small amount ( a dab will do ya) and still saw adverse effects. This product is labeled an exfoliant and boy does it exfoliate! It removed layers of my skin to the point of bleeding after a normal shower. Once the area healed, I continued use. It does relieve acne and helps the top layer of skin slough off very well but I give it a thumbs down for removing anything more. I would have to say for me this product did not do what I wanted it to do nor what I read it can do. I also realize everyone is different and we all react differently to things. So this may just work for you, but this mom of 5 will not be buying again.

Eight years of success and still going
I came to this product through an unusual route, as I work with potatoes and, while reviewing some of the scientific literature on glycoalkaloids (a family of toxins found in potatoes and other members of the nightshade family), I came across a few papers that evaluated the efficacy of glycoalkaloid preparations against skin cancers (specificallly actinic keratosis, basal cell, and squamous cell, notably NOT melanoma). Apparently, healthy cells are able to survive the glycoalkaloid, while cancerous cells do not. The exact mechanism was not yet understood in the papers that I reviewed. When I began (predictably as a fair skinned person who has spent a lot of time in the sun) to develop skin lesions, I looked for a glycoalkaloid prepation and found this. That was eight years and three tubes ago. I have had nothing but success with this product and have used it to remove more than 20 lesions. Some of the first that I treated had already been developing for years and took about a month to remove. Since then, I have been pretty vigilant and use this as soon as I discover any rough patch of skin. Under that regimen, it usually clears them up in three days to a week. The method that I use is as follows: I first wash the area and then scrape the skin lightly to abrade some of the dead cells and make it easier for the product to get to living cells. I apply just enough to cover a diameter half again larger than the observable lesion and then cover with a bandaid. I repeat this process twice a day until all that remains is pink, smooth skin. Usually, that is all that it takes. Occasionally, a few months later, I will find that either the center or an edge is starting to roughen again, in which case I repeat the treatment. I have never had to do this a third time. Although it can look quite ugly during the process, I have never had any long term scarring. I have removed lesions from forehead, cheek, nose, neck, ears, hands and arms, all apparently successfully, with no complications. I have also used the product without a bandage, which also worked, but took much longer, so I don't recommend it. I see many complaints that the product escapes the tube when first opened. I have also experienced this. I think this stuff is manufactured in Peru, which is at a much higher elevation than most other places, so it has a lower air pressure. Closer to sea level, higher air pressure is going to force some of the product out of the tube, usually enough for several treatments, so be prepared and catch it when it comes out. This stuff is cheap! Compare it to the cost of a single dermatologist's session. Obviously, I am not a doctor and this isn't medical advice, but it has worked well for me and I imagine that I will be using it for the rest of my life.

Very effective on a Basal cell carcinoma.
My father used this once daily for 2 weeks on a basal cell carcinoma and it worked. The carcinoma peeled off and his skin is still clear 3 months later. He had been due to have it surgically removed but the dermatologist is now happy to leave it. A very impressive product. There are more reviews on www.amazon.com

Marvellous product
Excellent product, works well. Was applying it about four times a day,the sunspots got darker at first but within a day or two the skin started peeling ,and with a little help from my tweezers removed the layers. Now no sunspots just fresh pink skin which will fade with time.
