The directions can be confusing in spots, and some pieces are fragile (the kit provides extra pieces and reminds users to be careful). I am giving it 4 stars because my son did get a bit frustrated while putting the car together and broke a few pieces. When I helped, I also got a bit frustrated with the directions but did not have an issue with the wood pieces. Ultimately, the car looks great and makes for a great display piece. It's still a good kit and worth the money, but be aware of who you buy it for and their frustration level.
