Really good for the price
Overall for the price you pay it’s really good. You can make decent espresso and the steamer is also reliable (even when using the automatic mode). Given it’s an entry/budget machine, expect the following: - Pressure is somewhat messed up, not as consistent as a professional machine. I don’t think it’s a steady 9 bar - but overall acceptable. - The drip tray is really small and you will need to clean it almost at each use. - You will want to buy a naked basket portafilter.

Very cool machine
A very excellent machine that offers you coffee that matches large cafes but you need to buy a separate grinder with it

Great Brand Breville and would highly recommend... Need to read instructions and even watch a demo or demos put out on different things about the Coffee Machine. Type the model etc to watch it via internet on YouTube. First go I would say use the machine as normal but no ground coffee just to flush out machine.Still use the coffee holder basket etc. (That's what I done)New machine. Plug in cord at power point and set up machine with ground coffee. Push the one or two cup button. Three white lights turn on as well as the steam and jug lights. Have the coffee cup under push button again. After coffee is decanted into cup take cup away. Must take it way for room for the milk jug as the jug needs to be positioned on the sensor. Only a small amount of milk markings on jug.No holding the jug. Push steam button.Automatically stops when frothed. After taking jug away. Push steam wand outer clean with damp cloth. Push steam wand back in and automatically water will automatically come out cleaning the steam wand. After that push two buttons together the ONE cup button this time and the steam button. That will turn the Coffee Machine off. Then some cleaning. Easy. Hope this helps

Have used it for more then six months now and can't fault it. First time using a machine like this and I think it was a perfect entry level product. Coffee taste great and its easy to clean.

I have owned larger dual boiler products previously so this was a move from a largish product capable of making 2 cups of coffee and frothing (manually) simultaneously to one capable of making just one cup at a time and frothing the milk separately. When I first began using this machine selected single shot for each cup and we found the coffee to be a little weak, so swapped to double shot for a single cup which delivers a very enjoyable and flavoursome cup of coffee. After always having to manually froth the milk and at my skill level I admit inconsistently, I was pleasantly surprised at what a very good job the machine does in "auto" frothing. The self cleaning feature for the frothing wand is also a good feature. if you are used to a larger machine at first it might take a while to get used to refilling the water container, however, I don't consider it a major issue. You may also be used to an LED readout advising that the machine needs to go through a cleaning cycle or descaling. Because there is no screen on this machine, it signals these needs by various combination of flashing buttons. You need to refer to the manual to find out what each one means. This is also the case if there is insufficient water in the container or if the holes in the wand need additional purging. When it happens for the first time you wonder what is wrong but after a few times you become used to the system. I recommend purging the wand for a few seconds after use even after it has been self-purged and likewise to press the one-shot button after use to clean the head. The drip tray is relatively small so I recommend emptying after each use which is not a difficult task. Overall I believe for domestic use for 1 or 2 users this is a brilliant little machine and I am very happy I purchased one.

When buying an espresso machine, for some reason I didn't think to properly research what I was buying and the drastic difference between different espresso machines. The Bambino Plus seems like a great entry point but the limitations are way too many for someone trying to get into the espresso hobby. First step order the appropriate filter basket and portafilter which allows you to properly extract coffee from all your grounds appropriately and time your shots. Second step you have to remove the tamper, get your own leveller and tamper so you can consistently prepare your puck. Third step realise all the excellent gear is made for the standard 58mm portafilters rather than Breville's proprietary size. Fourth step realise you can't adjust brew temperatures when you have beans that need some extra help pull the best shot. The milk frother is 10/10 ease of use and consistent however makes a mess when it auto cleans itself. The whole unit is too light you cannot put the protafilter into the brewing position easily until you've flushed a shot through the system (which you're going to want to do as the temperature in the group head is usually too hot meaning your shot time will be faster thane expected. You can program all your shots but I never do I always end up pre-infusing which I am glad I can do manually and then timing my shot based on the weight of coffee that is put out. If I was buying a Breville with my current knowledge I would get a Dual Boiler. If I had more money to spend than a Breville then I would look at a lever arm or Decent or Rocket. However this is great to also get a grip on all the variables you have to control to pull a good to great shot. You can still pull very tasty shots if you are buying well and freshly roasted beans. The beans I get have spoiled me as most cafes can't compare to what I can brew however the good ones will always pull a far better espresso than what you can get with a Bambino. It will be one of those products which you buy and then you realise "oh no I should have saved up for the high end".
