I’ve been using Sulfodene Dog Wound Care Ointment on my dog, who tends to get small cuts and scrapes during our walks. Will update later as well. Used 20 mins ago on Doggos rash area. In his bikini area and back of thighs. (Tends to have seasonal irritation) he has seemed to instantly felt relief and is now snoozing peacefully 😊

Bought this for my pup as he is prone to scratching places and losing his hair while also scratching so much he would leave wounds on himself. While the product does work, I would not say it is recommended for every dog. The second you put it on if you put to much, or put it on a pup that is not use to harsh things it can cause irritation and pain for them. I tried this several times on mine and it does work with the healing process. He had to get use to it however so I had to use very very little starting out because it would bother him a lot causing him to cut the wound open even more. Once he was use to it however he doesn't have the open wounds much anymore. There are times when he does of course, but it's not as bad as it was since I had found he was allergic to some things. There also isn't much of a scent to it, and it goes on very well. I would just recommend that you be careful what you put on your pup as you can put to much if they are not use to cream that kills bacteria, or it may be to harsh for their skin and they can't use it. I've used it at max 2-3 times before I determine if it's making my pups wounds worse or causing issues with his skin, but it turned out well. I can't say that it will another though since all dogs are prone to different things. The only issue I would say that there was is the product did not state how harsh it could actually be which would of been helpful.

I should of taken a before picture but the smaller areas are starting to heal and the bigger area is slowly getting there. I was afraid it was like a lotion but it is not thank goodness it's is waterproof ointment! I personally don't think it smells bad it smells like medicine. My dog doesn't like the smell or taste so that is a plus. He will leave his hot spots alone now! I will apply it and not use a bandage because air is good for healing. I apply it 2 to 3 times a day. Our poor pup has a mild case of allergies but his major problem is when he get nervous he chews on himself. Breaks my heart. But this ointment has done a great job of getting him to not chew on himself. This 3 way ointment will be come a staple in our house!

OMG!!! This stuff is awesome!! I tried everything on my dachshunds hot spots. She had basically chewed off the fur on both legs and I was so frustrated trying to find the right product. This stuff worked better than what my vet prescribed and a fraction of the cost. It works!!

My german shephard mix has had a bad skin issue just beyond his nose for many years. I used this once and he licked and rubbed it off immediately and then the issue exploded into some large crusts which finally fell off but the problem is still there. the vet doesnt know what it is and since gone untreated.

My shepherd came in with a, what I consider, gaping hole in her back. Im assuming she got caught by something while running outside. I ordered this along with a wound cleaner and got to work the next morning. I cleaned it with soap and water for the night till supplied arrived. Been a few days now of intermittent use (her hair was getting clumped in it since shes so fluffy) but its healing nicely. Everytime I put this on she stops trying to lick it, seems to soothe the wound quite well.
