Ive run hsgi tacos for pretty much everything for years now. In the military and on my personal gear. Durable, good retention, can use on just about any magazine including 7.62 mags, 5.56 mags, Candy bars, vape, cell phone, spit bottle, your fingers. If it fits just stick it in. :-p

Purchased these for my Ruger Scout Rifle 308 Winchester, 10 round magazines. Retention is good, easy insertion and retraction. Expensive but the best for fit for my 10 round magazines.

As far as what it's designed to do, the single TACO works very well, it'll hold AR-style mags (AR-10 mags may not fit quite as deeply due to being wider), AK mags (7.62 will extend out a good 2" farther than an AR or 5.45 mag so keep that in mind for space concerns.), and probably everything short of a drum or coffin mag. Tension is relatively easy to adjust, but I would advise doing so before mounting it on a belt or PC, as you have to draw the shock cord through all of its loops to actually tighten the entire thing, the provided HSGI plastic clips mount the holder securely to whatever platform you wish, and are relatively easy to install, certainly more so than standard MALICE clips (I would still recommend having a flathead screwdriver handy to help with routing the clips). My only complaint in terms of build is that the way the shockcord weave is setup seems backwards to how I personally think it should be, this is an easy thing to fix and doesn't affect my overall opinion of the TACO. The MOLLE webbing on the front and back combined with the sewn in loop allow easy setup for an elastic pull-tab string for more secure mag retention, but you will need to source your own shock cord and pulltabs.Overall, very pricy for a mag holder, but it works well, seems durable, and works with just about any 30 round standard rifle mag.

There seems to be some needy people on here that think since they are inconvenienced in the slightest, a product deserves a bad review.Let me put it this way, the people at High Speed Gear provide excellent customer service. I bought a few pouches and recieved one that had its shock cord cut too short. After about 3 minutes of my time, a simple email to the company was responded to quickly and the problem was fixed immediately.These things have a lifetime warrenty from a company that backs its product. The ONLY reason I knocked off a star is because compared to other products, the price tag is a little high, but there is absolutely nothing that this company makes, that deserves a 1 star review.The MALICE clips, while a struggle to install, are not that bad. If you use a pair of needle nose pliers and have installed molle compatible items before, they go on in a minute or 2.Be descriptive, be realistic, but trashing a great company for your short-comings is not how you create an honest review.

Used this for my radio on my vest. Fit like a glove!

As advertised... only critique is maybe the price but of course it's American made. Also the snaps are hard to undo without cranking some leverage on them so put them on a belt where you want them the first time!
