I've bought three of these fans. One I got in late 80's (different name, same color and size, long gone now but served me well).This fan is quiet and had great air flow. Compare this to a 12" fan with a big cage around the blades: Noisy and air current is disappointing.Expect the motor to get hot when you fun it at high speed all night.That's why I love these Chinook fans. I haven't seen anything better in 20 years. It's the only fan I want in my home.

Alright , I’m giving this product a 5 star rating but there was 1 major problem with my order and I swear I’m not kidding .So the fan came , I opened the box and oh boy it reeked . It stunk very bad . I would walk in my room and the smell would just hit me in the face . I described the smell to my wife as musky . Very bad smelling product and I’m not sure why . Anyways works great . But they need to look into why mine smelled .

I wanted a quiet, study, desktop fan. The Chinook is amazing little fan that delivers a lot of air circulation in a small package. It is an open blade fan but the blades are soft so there is no chance of damage to your hands or fan blades caused by an accidental strike. There are two speeds and I generally like the higher speed for daytime and the lower speed at night while I sleep. The real plus, is it is made in Canada!

I've had two older models and ran them continuously until they finally gave out. The new model seems to have made some improvements I like; sturdier stand and grips and overall more solid. Hopefully it lasts as long as the old ones. Great fans!! Not sure what the warmth rating is for but 5 stars all the way!
