These clippers are great. Nice sturdy metal housing. They're a bit hefty but that's to be expected. Seems motor loudness is being overstated. They're not THAT loud. I've had smaller clippers that were louder. When you turn the clippers on there's a pretty loud clicking noise, startled me at first. These clippers are very powerful, very nice sturdy metal housing, quality guards (some use plastic that's a little too brittle). With proper care the set should easily last 10 years or more. Very much worth the purchase.

I've been using an Oster that was originally purchased in the 80's. I wanted another rock solid product, not some modern cheapy, and this Andis fills that requirement, for me.

The clippers arrived broken and completely useless. The adjustment lever itself was in tact but something internal didn't allow the head to sit right or adjust. The screws were not loose, i checked. I'm pretty handy but these came completely useless. I would even been happy if they worked without the adjustment feature but even that wasn't an option. The plastic case sent with it was broken at the hinges too, even though the external cardboard packaging was intact. Very disappointed and will not reorder. Of course shipping costs are MY responsibility, thanks Andis. This is not a good introduction to the quality control of your products. I'm going back to Wahl.

Very well packaged and clean. The clippers work really well with precision. Not loud and good weight. I would buy again if needed.

I love these clippers! They are perfect for shaving my husband's head weekly.It took less than 10 minutes to shave off his 2 month full head of hair.These clippers will still leave a slight hint of stubble so you will still need to use shaving cream and a razor for that smooth shiny and polished look. My teenage son now loves having me give him his weekly buzzcut with these clippers using the shortest guide after having made him get his long mop buzzed off.These clippers will go through a thick head of hair like a hot knife through butter.These clippers are excellent heavy duty quality and will probably last a lifetime.They hum very nicely and are a pleasure to hold and use.Just be sure to oil the clippers after every haircut or headshave.The cutting guides and neck cape are a real plus,too.Too bad that there is no neck duster so had to buy one online.My home barbershop is now open every Saturday night!
