Pentel Sharp Kerry Mechanical Pencil - 0.5mm, Olive Green

The build quality is good, so it feels solid in your hand. I like the girth – it makes for a good grip. It's a pocket-sized pencil size pencil, and you need to post the cap to get to a comfortable writing. Bigger hands might find handling this awkward. I bought the Olive Green color - and you can see the body and the cap are different shades of green. It isn't very pleasant. This issue apparently exists in other colors - I have seen it on review videos online, and it is a manufacturing blindspot. And the olive green color itself - while the name is nice, the color has not turned out as expected. There is a super tiny eraser in the cap; to access it, you need to yank the tiny metal cap. I don't see the point of this - either make it good and easily accessible, something like a Tombow Mono, or remove it. Right now, it is in no man's land. The seller 'UnboxJapan' is a disappointment, and I will be wary of ordering from them in the future. The reason is they sent the Rs. 1699/- pencil in plastic wrap - as you can see in the picture. They somehow decided to withhold the original Pentel box from me, robbing me of the pleasure of unboxing this pencil. Shameful and cheap behaviour.

It is a very good pencil for writing and easy to carry in pocket. The grip is good during writing it gives good hold. The sleeve of lead is sturdy.

Çok pratik ve kaliteli bir kalem. Özellikle küçük olduğu için her cebe sığması ve mekanizmasının kalitesi çok hoşuma gitti. Gövdenin ortasındaki yüzük, kapak ve uç kısmı metal geri kalan yerleri plastikten üretilmiş. Bu sebepten kapak ve gövde arasında bir miktar malzeme kaynaklı renk ve doku farkı var ancak rahatsız edici miktarda değil. Gövdenin ağırlık merkezi kapağı kullanınca biraz yukarı kayıyor, bu belki çizim yapanların hoşuna gitmeyebilir.

There's nothing to describe how wonderful this pencil is in my hands. There's a reason this model has been around since 1971. The construction, build quality, balance and weight is just right. It feels more luxurious than just looks. A solid rattle free capping system. Solid in everyway. With this being a simple fixed tip, there is no tip wiggle unlike the popular Uni Kura Toga. There's no fancy mechanisms to deal with. This olive drab is quite fancy as well. The cap is solid color but the grip section and top barrel is wrapped with a underlying wavy olive drab pattern...cool details. Don't spend more than $20 for this pencil. It's well worth more than that but anything more seems too much for any mech pencil.

This is a great mechanical pencil to use for either writing or drawing. It has a good weight, without being too heavy for comfortable prolonged usage. Well designed, the lid is contiguous with the button to progress the graphite, so does not interfere with this function if you like to place the cap on the end of your pencil.
